Ok I know this may be "premature" but either way I am {OF}Blong on the server. tried signing up under ofblong and {OF}Blong but was unable to get the activation e-mails for those accounts so ended up using my work e-mail and blongers to finally get signed up and recieve an activation e-mail. Either way here I am and now you guys can yell at me for my newbishness on the forums instead of in the server :D. You know like M3rc for me using my bender bot skin and him crashing because of it.... I think M3rc should just install the skin :D.

If you are using a skin/voice pack that is not default, you need to change it.

People using custom (non default) packs cause every player that doesn't have the same packs installed to have errors and search lag.

UT is kinda retarded in that it searches every folder on your hard drive everytime it encounters something that isn't in it's own folders. This is where the lag comes into play with voice packs and skin packs.

When the 180 patch goes live you won't really have a choice, as genius Joey figured out how to stop all non default voice/skin packs from being used.

In the future we will most likely have a Monster Madness voice/skin pack that we can choose from.

thanks for the links. I did find that changing to a normal ut skin not only fixed my own lag problems but it fixed people like m3rc from not being able to join :D. I have been reading for like 30 min now on the power ups thread. Learned quit a bit on that thread like what I really dont need to use
