Question on a Forum Rule.
The rule pertaining towards signatures. Is there any particular reason why we are unable to use flash signatures? The rules didnt say anything about them but talked about images.

I might consider it but the big problem is that if someone were to load a topic with a post by you, they would have to download that flash or music data with the web page. If enough people are using the flash sigs then there could be major loading times and no one would like that.

Yes but the rule says no pictures
[04] No signature abuse! This option is a luxury and abusing it will result in loss of that luxury. Please refrain from using images in your signature or having signatures that are more than 512x512 worth of lines total.

If you lost your cd and have the old drive and have not reinstalled UT2004 or reformatted the drive, you can find your old cd key in the registry here ...

I haven't heard of any complaints being brought up about images in sigs. they're a small file compared to some flash content, and no-one seems to go over board and use omgwtfisTAHT huge pics. that said it hasn't been 'abused' yet. and there are many php add-ons for phpBB that can limit the size of pics if you really really wanted to...
edit: but if paint want's me to take my sig pic down i'ld be happy to take it down
edit ps: seems to be a problem with the :sa.d: emoticon

Hmm I should have clarified. What that last line is saying is dont use images or text in your sig that takes up more than 512x512. Well I edited the rule now so it should make more sense. But uh, those of you that had images in your signature even though the forums rules apparently said not to..tisk tisk...ZombieSlayer wrote:Yes but the rule says no pictures
