Hey Guys,

While I'm waiting for the files I need to continue work on 180 I decided to strip Commander out of the 180 Code and make it its own package. When you join the server now you'll be downloading MMCommanderVote_v102.

This update consists of changes to just Commander.

Error fixes:

Fixed the text overlap when the system announces the commander voting has been muted.

New Features:

Broken Arrow cannot be used on Wave 20 (configurable)
Broken Arrow can now be configured to last as long as we want (1 second to infinity - Its currently set to 30 seconds)
The Commander cannot resign on Wave 20 - Before this fix, if the Commander died on the last wave he could resign and allow a alive player to become the Commander.
Players cannot start a mutiny against a commander on Wave 20 - Before this fix, if a mutiny was started against the Commander and he was removed then a alive player could vote to become the commander.

what about commander leaving server, no matter if needed to go or getting disconnected
for w/e reason. would be nice commander can be new voted except for last wave

anyways, tbh, i´m still not really a friend from commander option since its to overpowered for ONE
player only. especially cause not only overpowered for one player, its more for only the ONE and the SAME
(highest leveld now playing) player. for example if gibletboy continues to play 24/7 noone else has
chance to get it. ("then mutiny him"! well, noone knows how to do...!)

then its same with the discussion from some lowlevels who are tired to hide all the time (on 179)
or are dead all the time and have to watch 1 or 2 highlevelers finish the waves/maps all the time
without them.

dont know if its possible to change the vote into players can vote themself or others to be commander,
vote must be done in x minutes, the player with most votes gets this feature.

For me the most fair would be that a random person that signed up for commander gets chosen to be the commander.
If you have to vote for others it becomes a popularity contest wich results in the same people being chosen all the time aswell just this time a handfull rather then a single one.

Imo nuke should be removed aswell from commander, already have art strike and broken arrow for offense and nuke as commander deminishes nuke from arti drop and weapcrate.

I have thought of doing the random winner system before but I don't know if I'm up for it. I got the Commander idea from the game Battlefield 2 which was created by DICE. I'd like to think they designed it the way they did on purpose. The way it is now you have the most qualified highest level player with the most experience in the game supporting his team. With the random selection you could get a noob who has no idea what to do and dies too often to be useful. I just don't think giving everyone a fair chance is a good idea. In the case you brought up Amy you could just ask giblet nicely if he could give someone else a chance.

As far as the Commander Nuke goes, it was only supposed to be a place holder. I'm thinking of maybe another artifact that lets the commander give his team a "boost" every so often. The boost could consist of +250 health, +250 shield, and 60 seconds of double damage. I'm not sure yet but I'll probably go with that for now.

If you get a bad commander you can mutiny and thats why you have that option imo.

When we first thought of commander. I personally envisioned it like BF2 that had a commander menu. Bound to a key that no one uses. Then a small message saying press that key to vote/etc. I don't know if its doable(if so later patch) but I think it would be a good solution to everyone not knowing the commands. Rather than clogging up the screen with commander messages or telling them to go to the forums. Rough example below.

When you press the designated key, that small box menu will show up allowing you to either click or hit certain keys for each selection.

You'd still get artifacts as normal in your inventory. Just my 2 cents...
