Aerowalk? TrackMeat? Old Maps new request

Is this closed here or why is the last thread from 2008? Whatever, imma request the Maps Aerowalk and TrackMeat which got removed, for whatever reason, don't know anyone that makes sense for an removal. Well in case the maps had some probs like lag server crashes etc. (never noticed any problems with these) it would be cool if anyone could repair them, i'm actually missing these two...

Yea it's on the "disabled" list. Don't remember why or how long ago it was put there.
If you lost your cd and have the old drive and have not reinstalled UT2004 or reformatted the drive, you can find your old cd key in the registry here ...

Since no one knows why the maps were removed in the first place I re-added shrine, trackmeat, and aerowalk. We will run them until we figure out why they were removed in the first place. If all goes well they will stay if not they will be pulled again.

sorry paint, but your trackmeat was a nearly alltime much-lag-map when
more than 8 players were in or more than 1 player uses flak with raz or
bio-spreadspam. ping raises up endless, diashow with no end, and
sometimes a complete lagout with all disconnected players.

*edit* just played trackmeat, 14 players or more, didnt count, except for
some 10sec-lagspikes it runs more or less well, but only 1 razflak running
and not much spreading splashdamage weps...
lets see what happens in a more busy time ...



btw, i dont know why, but the new prison map now do
the complete lagout nearly every map :-((((

lego and bikini-bottom are also candidates for doing this...

why shrine or aero were disabled dunno...

(btw. *wink to zombie* waiting for some screenshots :-) )

I took out shrine because there are just too many of them. There is no reason to have 3 versions of the same map in rotation ;p

Once I play aerowalk I'll tell you why I pulled it. Either a lagfest, or monsters glitching.

Amy, prison never lags out when I'm on. I forgot about the screenies, unreal editor stuff right?

Wasn't all 3 shrines very different? One of them totally blew, the one with the RL at one end and the flak at the other. But 2 and 3 were pretty cool and totally different maps as I remember. 3 was the 2 rooms which had the stair way that goes up to the deemer and I'm trying to remember 2, but I can't (I just remember its was very different then 1 and 3)

The one I took out was an exact copy of another one, but it had a deemer above the shock.

Or I took out the one without the deemer, I forget which one :D

paints shrine was only map with deemer. it also included the switch for
doors at one side...guess it was disabled because of tooo much whinings
about leaving that doorswitch allone :-)


@ zombie: i meant the ut-ed-screenshots.

you can enable the "description" of "things" like lights, playerspawns,
botpathes etc...
if you look in a huge map and enable this the screen is overflooded with
descriptions which makes it impossible to find "single" things which are
only one or two times in a map, like moving objects or the "switch" or
button or w/e which enables the moving object by jumping or shooting at
it...
hehe, and btw still the general idea of a complete "how-to-fix-failed-
monster-madness-invasion-maps-video-tutorial" :-)


@KNC, btw, joey is the only one who can upload (fixed) maps to the
server. he is still to busy with work, familiy etc.
so everyone who can fix maps can do it, but i think if i could do it but it
needs "long time" till it will be uploaded, it will be forgotten by myself, or i
lost the lust to fix maps for the moment. i think everyone will restart work
on everything, fixing maps, trying patch 180 "V2", when joey has again a
bit more time to work on that...so thats why THIS looks closed "at the
moment"...even when its now a year :-/ ... and btw "closed"... so, after
all we all can be happy joey is still keeping the server allive!

LoL I never enable descriptions, if I need to find something I search for it, then when I see it on the list I double click it and I'm there :D
