hehe, maddj, i wish i could have been more attentive to hearing what was going on, but at such moments i am locked into a total mode of concentration to live. but sure enough, under such insane odds, this brand of difficulty, fun, and intensity is why i only play this server any more. its the best ever! \^,,^/

with what synny wrote.. my highest of high scores is found on page 8 of this thread with 15,500 on that one "slaughter" map. true enough there weren't many playing, but on a map that open and with the monsters of insanity with the new update, i pulled off one heck of a win with that one! @,,@

oh, editing this post to say...any of you who do score over 10k that doesn't normally...take a screenie and show. i like seeing who gets what and where, since it really is hard as heck to do regardless of how many are playing. i can almost never break 10k without wand/lady or lightning rod.

I didn't bother posting a screen but I did hit 15056. People were saying that it wasn't worth playing the map we was playing, and seeing how on wave 2 everyone died from a smith wand but me, but I randomly found a lightning rod and I had already summoned a particle gun then later on wave 15 a lil lady.

i remember that map, synsyn. i was playing it with you too. you definitely saved the map on that second wave! my memory is sketchy, but there was no way you hit 15k on that not-so-open map with me, kurt, knave, merc, zombie and others playing. and yes

, damn that lady of rage 10 you summoned! i never ever got a lady that was more than +4

and lightning rod broken how? you mean the way of score it gives? i think score in this game is based on the amount of damage done and what type of enemy you actually kill too. lightning rod instakills many weaker enemies, and i believe as well the damage from the lightning is sourced from the damage pus one has on their gun too. this might be a reason why i score madly, since on almost every gun i use, by wave 10 i usually have +10 damage, a propulsion or 3, and sometimes up to 5 rages as well if i can find them. so with all that damage being done and killing, it can add up very fast.

and yes, put damages on a super shock rifle of power or wand. this does make them register more damage on an enemy even if you instakill them anyways. i have tested this too when using both guns. i think its does something like this: say an enemy has 200 hp, and your gun inflicts 50 hp damage per projectile hit. after 4 projectiles it dies. but lets say you have a wand with +10 damage pus and this causes 500 hp damage per hit. because you hit that enemy once to kill it, it will register as 500 hp damage and not the 200 max, so thus, you get a greater xp and score from it.

simply just speculation, but it would explain a heck of a lot...as well as corvey's constantly questioning as to why the scoring is so "messed up" or something

Ok, this shot isnt from MM but from the SOB carball server, but it was one of the best games I've ever played, I just scored an unvelievable goal. It was kind of like one of the shots rain did, where he flipped the ball up and then shot it with a rocket while flipping midair. I don't know how the hell to record that stuff but I did get a screen shot after the goal, 14 points x 2 bonus multiplier + "Expert" Rating = best goal ever :partyman: I was playing a 2v3 game with a clan on the 2 team, and still managed to own them with several nice shots. This one was right after my teammate scored, the other team won the face off so I had to knock it away, then do a turnboost which I'm not that good at but this one was perfect, it was going too high so while flipping above the ball I shot it down into the goal with a rocket. I call it the "T-Money shot" LOL I just realized I wrote 24 on the screenshot it was a 28 point goal.

Ummm go back to school. 7 times 2 =14 which is how many points you got for scoring.

5 points for lonestar
1 point for speed
1 point for slam dunk

Equals 7 points

Then you got the doubler which makes it 14.

It lists the double mulitplier FIRST. Then the TOTAL points for score which is 14.

If there was no double multiplier his total points would have been 7.

Ok, I could be wrong but I SWEAR I had 20 pts when scoring that, then killed someone and suicided twice making my score 47,,, but it could just be the painkillers :tonqe:
