Dude is using scare tactics and misconstruing the facts of the law to scare you.
This will affect anyone that uses copyrighted music in the videos they make of their game play (or whatever). You have to have committed this act 10 times in a 180 day period in order to be "busted".
So if you only upload 5 or 6 videos using copyrighted music you'll be fine.
It's not mandatory jail time, it's either jail, fine, or both.
So if you do make videos *any type of video including home movies* using music in the background, make sure to space them out so there are less than 10 in any 180 period.
