yah...ive played alot of mmo style games...and the reason guild wars is free...is that it isnt a real mmo. its closer to a hack n slash rpg than a mmo, it just has a graphical chat lobby to meet up in before going to your own hosted map(more like Diablo than a real mmo).Granted, Guild Wars is one of the better free to play games, which there are moer of out there than you might realize, but even though i dont care much for WoW, WoW definately offers alot more that you are paying for.

ive played GW I got rappelz and WoW the all have diffrent characteristics that make em good (GW and Rappelz big upper is its free) . I like WoW (I dont like the paying factor) it entertains me I am in a guild but I do most of my quests and runs by myself.

Yah, id have to do a bit of research to name all the games ive tried, but since im bored ill name as many as i can off the top of my head. Some of these are ot real mmo but are server based with a large community.

Heh I have played runescape, but that was a few years back. Heh I was setting myself to be pretty good at mining in that game. I have played Flyff too and the biggest thing that got me to playing that was the fact that you could fly (at lvl 20 I learned later).

Didnt play it very long, but I didnt have much luck at making any friends on it . If you knew others that played, it might be more fun. It seemed a little slow paced to me, and i didnt go for the Hack n' slash element it has. You click to swing, instead of initiating an auto attack, and you press a button to dodge, which looks like a retarded monkey rolling around.......and having limited use of a skill per dungeon..its might be true to DnD.....but I didnt like it. I liked CoH/CoV....got a bit repetitive though, and i definately spent alot of time with eq/eq2, probably my favorites, but i lost interest after a few years of eq2. auto assault was alot of fun, but the community was dead, so not much of an mmo. 2 moons is a good free one, but its currently in a down phase of Beta. Space Cowboy is decent but very different, its a space shooter/mmo.Im currently waiting for Huxley, Tabula Rasa and Hellgate:Londo....all shooters/mmo(well, Hellgate is a shooter or a hack n slash based on class) all have alot of potential, and somewhere in the future Warhammer: Age of Reconing will come out, probably try that out.
