A Holloween story

Post by Quester115 » Wed Oct 31, 2007 5:49 pm

It was a dark and dreary day. The clouds rolled in ominously during the last few hours and as I left the complex to make my way home they had already covered every shred of blue in the sky in a cold gray. I got to my vehicle quite uneventfully, almost to much so for Holloween. There were no strange people in costumes, nothing thrown at my car while I pushed papers during the day, no flying monkeys sitting on the light post ready to fling their exscertions onto my unsuspecting head. There was nothing to be worried about. Or so I thought.
Now in my car, which was ready to give in its last, the transmission and other critical parts most likely being held together by a small zip ties and duct tape from its last budget tune-up, I slowly drove myself to my home. Taking an unexpected turn I found myself traveling down a rode that lead through the local forest preserves. The trees looked very nice in their fall colors. The ride again was almost too normal...
I made it home. Then it struck me, something was desperately wrong! Breaking the world record for the two meter dash I ran to my computer. Yes I there was something wrong. Something that had been wrong for long before this day.
I looked it straight in the small beady lights that were always keeping watch like disembodied eyes. Slowly I got my wits together and prepared to do battle. A battle that would have destroyed my sanity if I lost. The monster I faced was COMCAST!!! It dove towards my bandwidth and began to strangle my humble BitTorrent. This being connected to my to the soul and bloodlines of my computer I was forced to protect this precious treasure. I grabbed the shield of RC4 and the sword of TOR and struck a critical blow to the monster. As it fled I only thought that it will come back another time in a different form stronger and more dangerous then before!

and that ends the lamest holloween story of the century! Woot! its over.
moral: Comcast is bad for torrents. they started using a new system that sends a forged packet to any peer you try to upload to telling them you want to close the connection!
if you have comcast and notice that it is almost impossible to seed things, Force encrypting on you client, and set up Tor to further hide from traffic shaping!

btw: screw all of you! I was bored
