PU Idea

It would be too much trouble in the long run. It would cause lag (extra cycles to see who got the final shot, how many of the pu they already have, and what to do with it if they already have 3 of them in inventory) and more bitching. Not to mention that teamwork would fall off even more than it already has.

Whoa, back that one up..i may be a little late in getting to that reply..but there are few as good as border at getting to them pu's. Mind you, hes been better about handing things out, but rarely does he have trouble getting to them.

well in theory...yeah i got nothing,
but think about how much more in game effect is added by seeing the power up that the mob was hoarding for itself fly out for you to go get. If the were distributed to the kill or randomly between who did damage you would lose that "whoa gotta get that effect".
Even in 'normal' multiplayer rpg's if a dropped item is assigned to a player it still 'drops' instead of just appearing magically in your bunghole waiting for you to pull it out and use it.
plus sometimes you don't even want to pick up the items even if you did earn the kill when others are around. If you have a loaded flak why pick up that spread? instead watch as a lowbie discovers it and has that "man, thats cool".

I think the only prblem players have is the in-ability to ask nicely or politely for a PU they see another player pick up or they think should be their's anyway.
You will all know that if I get a PU and someone askes politely for it if they THINK they did the kill, I will give it to them. (I say think because I am a sniper and kill mobs at far end of maps as much as I do the ones in my face.

All players have to do is learn, earn and GIVE respect. I don't even have to mention a certain player named after a Lamborghini (not the Murcielago, Gallardo, Countach, Reventon, Concept, Jalpa, Portofino, Athon, Silhouette, Urraco, Jarama, Miura, Espada, Isleo, Miura, Marzal or even the 350, but the other one) 8)

I'm not saying that Dia_bllo thinks that every good PU on the map belongs to her, but you know how it goes.... [OH SHIT! I said her name! oops]

Its funny to see comments like this and look back at my scores. I say this as alot of times i end with highest kills / score in map and yet I never get a summon. Are you nobs saying that from my 500 to 800 kills no summon ever is droped and from your 200 kills you get 5 summons?!
Think a little about this before bitching ( of course you need a brain to think ). - So think about it if you can please :finga:

you would see a lot of people not scoring as well if they werent able to get the pus that they didnt kill for. i have killed so much shit in the past just to have that p/u robbed by one of the "better" or "senior" players. now im not bitching, and i never did in game either. just pointing out that a lot of these "better" people wouldnt be near as good taking a p/u they didnt kill for. they way i adapted to it, is to go p/u hunting regardless of who killed the monster...if its on the ground, im goin for it..trans and all...if you dont like it...to efffin bad. life is a bitch...people steal pus from me all time (or used to when i did play)

Well, if someone does moan about me taking the summon, it depends on the situation. If it was a "busy" area and I couldn't see if anyone scored the final hit, I'll offer the gun if I don't need it. If it was theirs, I wouldn't go near it anyway.

Also depends how late in the game it is, and how good/crap my current weapon is.
