LOL! This happened to me twice, once in legoland, another in Pyramid3-DD ..
It happened to amy the other day.. Its a ghost bug. Whenever I'm being ghosted and the next round starts, a new copy of me respawns while the ghost continues to float away.. Usually it eventually respawns itself, and you get another copy who responds to your controls save for movement. They shoot like you, switch weapons in some cases but don't move. You can damage yourself, and when you die you still live.
It should be something maybe bought to joey's attention.

I've had this happen before as well on Pyramid. No screenshots of it though :-( However, once I swtiched from Ghost to Resurrection I have not had this - or other similar - problems.

I think that has something to do with the "ragdoll" portion of the model coding. The ragdoll code determines how your model reacts to falling down, dying etc. and the movement of the model body when you're flopping around dead on the ground. Course...I could be wrong 8)
