Can't get skype to work on the win98se partition which is the only partition that boots

For some reason the damn xp disc won't boot.

I thought there was a dos command or a command prompt I could run once in win98 to run the repair option.

Only options I get in win98 is to install, check for compatibility, and some other useless crap.

This is why I hate M$ and XP. All I did was change mobos and now xp won't boot because it's not the same hardware configuration
