Invasion CTF

This is a variety server not an invasion server. It just so happens that the majority of games are invasion.

Yes it's called an invasion server, but since there are other game types available to vote from, nobody has any reason to bitch about not playing invasion.

If all you want is invasion, find an all invasion server. See? Same arguement some give for those that like cb can work just as well for those that only like invasion :butthead:

Now before certain people get all pissy, I'm not running anyone off the MM server or forums. It's called making a suggestion :roll:

agreed, but in the same hand, why do people bitch about people playing invasion instead of CB? its not very common, but i see people griping because the CB vote is a minority and "we are tired of playing invasion" comes out. i like the democratic process myself. let the majority vote. if its CB cool, if its invasion...even better. not trying to defend one or the other, just making sure that this is not a bias convo in favor of CB. there are several threads going so far that make CB out to be the gametype that should be played because of the people that do want to play it. my main point being that this is an invasion server with variety is that we all came together under invasion. if it were CB that was the main reason for the popularity on this server, i could understand the legitamacy of the several threads.

As one of the servers biggest carball supporters(unofficial) I say I agree with you. People used to toss the dedicated carball thing around alot in the past, and if you check it out, you will find most of those servers are empty. So alot of people just continue voting carball in hopes it will win. It used to be harder to get it to win actually, until a certain group had been forced to play it enough times that they started to get better and even liked it. After that we had a good number of people to get carball going when we felt like it. That number has since died down a bit, but when we are all on at once again, its desireable to play some CB, even more so once you have a high level and alot fo your stats are maxed and it will take 20+ games to maybe get a level. I generally try to get everyone to go to a carball server if there are enough of us to remove the idlers from being a factor, or even some Deathball(ever played it, worth looking into, its lots of fun and will try and get that started back up once i get back) If invasion wins, no one should complain...if carbal wins, no one should complain....heck, if CTF wins...suck it up and play, it will be over sooner if you contribute to your teams efforts, and you will generally be considered a better player for it, rather than people voting against you out of spite for whining(not saying you do, just a generality) But you have my respect as a player if you are capable of playing what is voted and trying again on the next map vote.

I will admit when I vote Carball and it doesnt win I say damit. But I then in turn get on Skype and start the Phone calling LOL. I dont cry about the invasion map not being voted. I talk about how many votes are going to be coming and people need to be prepared for Carball. But I will play the map out and help people out. I even voted CTF for a couple maps.

I'm with you 100% on the majority vote thing let democracy handle it

but you have people going "Vote now or We have to play CB"
"No CB CB is a kids game"
"No CB Jus 1 INV map before i go to bed" as they stay and vote and play the next INV map after that 1 ....

and again with the inv is minimum 40 mins for 1 game cb is minimum15 mins

Wrong - I was in a CarBall game last week that only lasted 6 minutes 30 seconds. I was in another last night that went for about 20-25 minutes because of OT tiebreaker.

Suffice it to say that 15 minutes is NOT the minimum for CB - just the average.

I wouldn't say 15 minutes is the average since most games end before the time. DOn't temp me to waste my time beast!!!!LOL to give you a average. I will do it too. Hey from what I hear invasion maps only last 30 minutes now. Getting asssmacked by the mods!!!HAHA

ok maybe not the minimum and ortega says not the average i say 15 mins cause usually the game is won in under 8-9 mins USUALLY or you get the tie breakers which compensate for all the real quick matches which we all know is referred to as the "Warm Up Match" javascript:emoticon(':hwsb:')

i think its a great idea. its challenging and fun, plus its great for noobs scince they great MAJOR points for killing higher lvls like drea. i myself lvled 10 times at least in one ctf match.

I was stalking Dreaghon. He got me but I own the battle a couple of times. I didn't see any XP though maybe its because we were just playing normal CTF. I was chatting with Deadly and going in and out of the game. I know Gen was kicking my arse though. I will get you!!!
