pc upgrade for ut3?

hdcp is for content protection. the only reason it is necessary is because from whatever hacked source we all end up playing our movies in, we'll still need an hdcp-enabled port to transmit from. Most, if not all, new HD-tvs are hdcp. thus, if you don't transmit a proper hdcp signal, you get shitty picture. at least, that's how it's going now... DRM seems to be losing momentum, this may all be for nothing in five years.
SO, unless you plan on watching HD movies off your blu-ray or hddvd drive in your computer, don't worry about it. if you want a smokin video card, just get a 8800-something. they're amazing, even the low end ones. plus, i read that a 320MB version of the 8800 is coming out, which will only cost a couple hundred dollars (instead of $400-600) and will handle UT2k7 with power to spare.

its a good thing that i could prolly get both (provided i dont get a high end keyboard) or youd be a dead man for putting the idea in my head XD tyty bowls
