Aw yeah. Metal will always have a special place in my heart - that deep dark place where few things thrive for lack of oxygen, yet metal rules that realm. Just to show my age, I started getting into metal with "Quiet Riot" and their "Metal Health" album. Then it was quickly onto Twisted Sister, Kiss, Metallica, Megadeth, and Iron Maiden (666 baby!). Megadeth and Anthrax still remain as my favorite metal bands.-[UI]-License wrote:One word. Metal. Can't have mainstream. They use electronics and crap! Gotta have the hand of a guitarist and a drummer baby.
I will consistently sacrifice political correctness for an attempt at humor. If ya can't deal, then ya need ta stop being ign'ant.

My first ever concert was at the Ventura fairgrounds. My dad took us to the Beach Boys concert. Lots of fun for a 13 year old that just started surfing
My next concert was in Los Angeles when Metallica and G'n'R opened for the Rolling Stones. Oh man was that awesome. I even got to ditch school that day and the day after
Since then I've been to 3 other Stones concerts, a ZZ Top concert, Aerosmith, Brooks and Dunn, and I'm planning on going to OZ Fest this time around
I've been to a buttload of local band concerts in Sacremento and San Francisco. Everything from metal to country to jazz.
As long as it isn't (c)rap or techno it's good to go. Although I do like some old school rap and a few techno songs.
Music is good for the soul and without it life would suck
