I tried vanguard....it was alright(and ive tried alot of mmo's, so i have some idea what im talking about) It was definately graphics intensive, but i think ortega meant by his wow comment that he isnt really looking for any p2p(pay to play) games like vanguard, lotr, eq2,CoH/CoV ect....but correct me if im wrong, i currently have droped all my mmo accounts and want a new one to play.....waiting for Huxley, Tabula Rasa, Warhammer:Age of Reconning and Hellgate:London(last one if more of a diabloish game with a very developed multiplayer component, where you can pay for a overall more complete and updated experience). Huxley and Tabula Rasa are going to be mmo FPS/RPG. Huxley looks to be the more graphical and adult one, where tabula rasa is a bit less so but made by same people who did lineage/City of Heros/auto assault, So its got a pretty good backing. Ill stop there, later

Huxley looks pretty cool. Is that going to be a UT3 game where they say they are working on it. (On a yearly basis).

I heard about Vanguard. My only problem with WOW is that they sit and sit and sit. Maybe what I will do is play WOW and on the other computer play Unreal and play a map and by that time they might be starting off on the quest (Whatever its called). Plus I'm not going to pay for monthly access when I don't play enough to do so.
Later all!

Guess WoW is out of the pictuer then, but hey...there are tons of free games out there too that are mmo....just usually charge for premium services/lack the depth of the p2p games. Huxley is a p2p, but im ok with that...ive had atleast one going since Velious came out for the origional everquest( I think about 7 years or so) so yah...im an addict, but i couldnt get into WoW...not a bad game, just didnt care for the graphical styles or the class builds. CoH/CoV was alot of fun but got repetative pretty quickly. Auto assault was like a mmo version of twisted metal.....but hardly anyone played it so it was a bit dead. I always get a bit of a rush when i start a new game, and im hoping that huxley/tabula rasa dont suck as bad as planetside did(one of the first big mmofps games, was a bit too big for the number of people who actually played it.) Alot of people say they like guild wars.....and I will say that with the right group of friends, it would probably be fun, but it seems kinda shallow when you run around with hired henchmen. The plus is that all you buy is the game, no monthly fee, but it definately wont push your graphics card hard at all.

Yes, I did, and I thought, like most of the other Warhammer Games, that it was pretty good.

Also check out "OverLord". Kind of a Wizardry 8 meets Baldur's Gate. New and different at the same time.

Im not a very big fan of RTS games, last one i played with any regularity was Star Craft when it was newer. But Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War/Winter Assault/Dark Crusade is an exception. But i think my opinion of it was a it biased, since I used to play the tabletop game. I will give them that they stayed pretty true to unit appearance and ability, which is why i enjoyed the game as much as i did. I used to play chaos/eldar army(I made up some BS as to there being Dark Eldar.....later on they actually officialy released an army called dark eldar. My two best friends at the time played Regular Eldar and tyrinid(think Zerg from star craft) and another guy who played space marines. Was good times, and i would recommend the game for sure.
