I wish. Nah, I'm a IT student, and my brother's pretty good at self builds, so it's kinda common knowledge for me d=)

No clue where to actually buy the parts though, my bro used to get them from fairs
dude, I'm telling ya, www.newegg.com - more than a couple of people here will agree with me.

Of course do price comparisons @ www.pricegrabber.com

and if you can't find what you want at newegg, try www.zipzoomfly.com or www.tigerdirect.com
I will consistently sacrifice political correctness for an attempt at humor. If ya can't deal, then ya need ta stop being ign'ant.

And if you think you might be getting ripped off....go here.
www.pricewatch.com
To compare prices. It is updated pretty frequently so just make sure you hit it often.

This is what I am doing with mine. But mine is a AMD platform.

Harddrives: Western Digital Raptor-10,000 150gb (For games). 2nd drive for Other crap- music- its a WD- 250Gb at 7200
Dvd Burner and dvd-rom from Lite-on. Corsair 240 ddr2 Duel Channel ((2X1GB)X2). I'm going to go with a AMd 64X2 5400 processor. 2 evga 8800GTS. My case is just a Ultra MTX case and also a 750 watt Ultra PS. My mother Board is a Asus Board m2n-sli Deluxe.

I haven't got a video card or the processor yet, or raptor yet and still need to get the second Memory so I can get a Windows. I am still wondering about Vista but I I might just go with the XP. Still a long way to go but It should be done I hope by the end of June. It got delayed quite a bit upgrading the house and timeshare when she seen the new computer case. I sorta forget to mention me spending over 2 k in 3-4 months on a new computer. LOL. I'm just trying to just go and put it on a credit card. but its temping just because I want it. I almost went to the point of asking my owner for a advance and he could take it back monlthy but I chickend OUT! Give me some input for vista since all the stuff it compitable for it. Who ever has vista on a new machine or a POS machine from a manufacture. Give me some input on the computer itself if I should upgrade to something better. I still have time to change some things. Thanks
Later all!

nice setup there ortega, really nice setup
bit overboard [wth am i saying] nothing is overboard

seeing that your running dual channel mode, never had any experience with that yet, I got a question,
would i have better performance with 1gb dual or the setup i have now with 2gb single? (the ram is matched)(typical mem load seems to be around 750-900mb)
hoping to upgrade to 2gb dual channel in the future anyway. when teh moneys come back to me...

I would say it would depend on the actaul stick itself. But I would naturally think two could should be better it the two equal the same output as the one. Just because there is less stress on two iteams them one. Just depends on the actaully piece though in a sense.

http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Specific ... on.do#tabs

Suggestions will be appreciated.

Also

I got a Maxtor 500gb Onetouch III off of newegg. 120 bucks after all the rebates. :)

I will do that same thing if you want to pay me that much. I will even do a INSTANT rebate of $50.00. The video card is going to be in a need of a update. I would say at best its low 6 series. or maybe a 6600. Which isnt bad. But....I am willing to take the time for a wuick $250 profit and build that and I bet many other people are too!!!LOL
