going to take a look at alternate for u.... but first, check to see if its booting from peg and not agp

t

oh -- and if you are considering a new mobo that is the price of the asus that is mentioned, i would seriously consider the alternate route of going for a new base system... one of the things that i don't like about amd is the migration path, i had to do it with my older system

asus m2n-mx (downside - onboard graphics)
amd phenom 9850 black
kingston kvr800d2n6k2/2g

total individual component price, US based - 52+235+40 = $327

but this would most likely require a case upgrade as well, since the integrators like to use all sorts of fancy risers and daughter boards... not all, but most that I've seen do, which makes installing a regular atx board or even an mATX board difficult to impossible if your not into cutting your case up.
so another 20$ for a budget case
-------------------------------

If your going to stay with the 939 socket, on the same page as the asus board is ECS KN1 Extreme that has had good reviews at half the price, but for the most part, stay away from budget boards, they only cost you in the long run

------------------------------

I currently have a gigabyte k8n-pro-sli that has been running for 4+ years and not a complaint... current system due to amd's blunder is an intel q6600/gigabyte p35 based board with ich9 subsystem...

Wells I thanks you all for ideas and help

My video card is still good but I am going to take the new 1 pny said they would trade me n e ways.

I did manage to find another Mobo wasnt to pricey I think..

I got a A8N SLI-Deluxe direct ship from Hong Kong lol

MoBo $88 shipping $35 NEW

wasnt bad deal I thought and now I have Sli capabilities

I thought bought jus building a whole new system but money is a object in my case lol. so the 126$ Mobo
compared to buying a new Mobo and processor (Minimal parts required) the Mobo I found seemed like the way to go for now.

So as soon as 8800's drop a lil more in $$$ ima B SLI'ing Mwa Ha Ha

Oh yeah Intimadator The case's size wasnt a problem (I seriously thought it would be also) the first thing I noticed when i got the motherboard and opened my comp is the MoBo's were setup opposite of each other. My Gateway you would lay it on the left side and take off the RIGHT SIDE panel. The Mobo I got is a lefty lol (You need to lay the case on the right side and take off LEFT SIDE panel to access the board) which my case was not setup to do (thats what i get for ordering from china lol )

So my friend had a spare case I am borrowing and a heatsink (My gateway heatsink bolts str8 into the board couldnt use it)

Tomarrow I start formatting and re setting up everything is all installed and working I jus need sleep before I start the fun internal work of entering keycodes over and over again joy joy joy lol
