This was on the "Server Close to being Shut down"<---Which is in the process of being changed to "Server is staying up and is going pimping"

But back to the subject: Anna brought up the fact the she had a open Ts server. I know joey tried doing a Ts server which did work but no one used it. My question though which more people are using Skype (I have tried it..) If there was a TS server set back up who would use it or do you like Skype Better?

IMO- I dont like skype because you really cant talk in game to some people not in Skype.. Because of the eco effect it gives when you talk to people...I would be one to go to TS if it got started.

(DONT GO BUG JOEY ABOUT DOING A NEW TS SERVER EITHER) Thats not what Im looking for

i kind of like the echo effect. it's similar to an echobox on the CB. reminds me of when i would go with my dad on long truck hauls.

Echo on the server depends alot on the codecs that the server itself uses. Actually, to tell you the truth....I've never had any problems with echo or any complaints of that. I'm one of those people who doesn't like it when my shit ain't working right. So, if something like that ever does arise...trust that it will be corrected ASAP!

Also...it has ALOT to do with some of the equipment that people use. You can't really use a microphone...but use your pc speakers....cause you're gonna have some issues. Another good tip is.....don't have it set for "Voice Activation"...cause nobody wants to hear anyone's heavy breathing. Setting it for "Push to Talk" is a much more viable option.

But yah guys...feel free to use it. I'm not gonna post the server info on the forums...cause I kinda don't want every noob in the nation to be on there abusing it. Just send me a PM or post a request...and I'll hook you up. I would definately set a few peeps up as admins.

The echo they were talking about Anna occurs when we use Skypes voip and in game chat. It's kinda weird and a pain in the ass to have both running.

Another little thing that you can download for use with TeamSpeak..(I love that this was released)...is TeamSpeak Overlay. It places a simple text overlay of your game...that shows who is speaking, who enters or leaves the channel etc.

Here direct download link of the latest version of TSO.

http://www.teamspeakoverlay.com/downloa ... uild63.exe

One thing I have noticed about TSO..is if you do alot of game minimizing to show your desktop during gameplay...it will on ocassion..crash your game. But it isn't anything that is serious enough for me to stop using it. :D
