Hey Legit :)

Driver upgrades: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/soft ... uct=445595&

I would also advise looking at getting some more RAM. Either a 512MB stick or a 1G stick.

All of the memory listed in the links below are under $100 (not including tax and shipping).

512MB stick of RAM (all listed should work with your puter): http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... rchInDesc=

1G stick of RAM (all listed should work with your puter): http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... rchInDesc=

As for the video, you should try and get a video card with at least 128MB memory (which would double your current vidmem).

Here's one that is under $100 (without tax and shipping) that should work with your puter.

OMG Zombie I love you even more now. NewEgg ROCKS!! They ALWAYS have AWESOME prices on their stock, and FAST/CHEAP delivery. I buy the VAST majority of my hardware there. As a matter of fact I made a purchase there this week:
a 500g external USB2.0 HD for $159 shipped, which should be here today or tomorrow. I DEFINITELY give them my HIGHEST recommendation!

ya it can be the comp a shitty video card and RAM if they cant run as fast as the map or the game it causes the computer to run faster and over runs it self then causes processer lag and the ping with go up cuz the RAM video card. and 1 coke no its not my fualt my computer is shitty this computer is for the whole family for bissneses and another thing its kinda hard to find a job at 16 bro aot of places need you to be 18 well at least here u need to be 18.

Not entirely true. Joey's explained this in one of his more recent posts.

If your computer is struggling to play the game it slows down your computers response time to the server. This slows down the communication between you and the server causing latency (a rise in ping).

Granted it's not as big of a factor as connection (high speed, good lines, whatever) is, but it does play it's part.

Good points by all, keep helping each other to improve performance.

Again, we are not witch hunting for thos kinds of pings. We are definately looking for pings that are causing the game to lag. If we dont, then you wont be able to enjoy the game.

I can tell you this... Some of these things won't help pings almost at all...

I have a shitty dell with NO video card and only 512 of RAM..
