BEWARE THE CHEST HOG!!!

Just to make you all aware, I was on last night (Thurs, 3/15) and witnessed an incident where a certain player - by the name of Inside - obtained both the weapons chest and key - unfortunately I don't know if he picked up the key or if someone tossed it to him. Upon opening the chest he exlaimed "I have 35 weapons!" and that was the last we heard from him, even though he was repeatedly asked - nicely and otherwise - in voice chat AND in text chat - to share the weapons with the other players. Beyond his next statement of "I'm going to use the cutter rifle!" he responded to no requests for weapons, and no other players - to the best of my knowledge, based on his lack of response - received any of these weapons. Thankfully those that were playing took action an promptly kickvoted him a wave or two later. Nothing more than Inside deserved, IMHO, and my thanks to those last night that placed those votes.

Needless to say, I don't think anyone should toss Inside any more chests or keys from here on out. Sure, it's their choice if they don't want to hand stuff out - but what kind of teamwork is that? As has been said time and again, TEAMWORK IS KEY TO WINNING MAPS!

I could make a list as long as my arm of people whom I have seen open a chest, and as soon as they and the person who tossed them the key to open it & get their own weapon picks, they start taking requests for who wants what, and begins passing them out accordingly. Several people have even sacrificed multiple waves of killing/xp by standing in one place waiting for players to re-spawn & come to them in order to get a weapon. That's because these people realize that TEAMWORK IS KEY TO WINNING MAPS, and by helping everyone get a better weapon, they help the map get won so we can all get our 1000xp. To those players - you know who you are - I can only offer a sincere "thank you" and a promise to do the same when our positions are reversed.

As for Inside, if you read this: you'll soon come to realize that you reap what you sow, buddy.

a big thank you to all who announce the open weaponchest only via voicechat... thank you for this great teamwork!

most of them who mostly have luck to open weaponchest have keybind to what weapon they just look, but some have the fkng excuse "i can hand them out faster by talking and not typing!" huh? but why announce they allways ingame what weapon they just use, eh?
sure, the problem is, the one who opend it hasnt a 100%-10-feet-god-mode-shield around him and risks his life so all can get weapons without beeing killed and often enough theres no good hidingspot or to much "traffic" in last 3-4 waves to hand them out, so via voice would be faster, but then NOT reading what some want, and only responding to voicechatters, if this is teamwork....for me its like "for good friends (or v.i.p.´s) only"...

good question, the other question is, why can i read so much posts about
sh#twhiningcryingmoaning..etc..via-voicechat and you DONT want hear it? and some cant disable it and some dont want disable it and sometimes muting someone dont work or whatever...
if you (the voicechatusers) have sometimes so much stress,
then why should i have same? isnt it stress enough to read that problems
others have? i dont need that by voice...
and btw, did you ever play ut with a 5.1 bass-vibration-surroundheadphone? sure its not really the hit, but muuuuch better than speakers or normal headphones, and believe me, you dont want hear anyone talkin then... (my opinion)

what ev when people dont have v chat on the dont get the pups like say id give beast or hickey and what not when they use voice i ask if the want a pu on mic because i can play and do it at the same time and taht is a valid ecuse because it would take like an hour to hand out all weapoms without mic for me anyways

i think inside may be new to the chest opening thing and being unable to scroll properly through the weapon list. i know yesterday i tossed someone the key and said they couldn't find the lady or wand. then i gave him the instructions to simply press shift-4 and scroll through them all and he finally understood that all the weapons stack on one another. yes, though, that situation probably was upsetting.

sir, you are very right, i have been the passer out of weapons from the chest about 12-15 times now. it takes a lot of time and patience, sometimes going up to 3-4 waves until everyone who wants something gets something. and protection from enemies at such a time is very necessary, a big thank you to those who will get their weapons and stay around to help kill-protect x,,x

when i get either chest or key, most of you know i have a preference two the two weapons that are good since i had acquired one or both of the components. if others open the chest and the map has lots of players, i generally won't ask for anything unless i hear noone ask for the lesser, but still good, weapons of mini rl and shotgun.

and amy, omg..i do have major qualms with the voicechat and text stuff too. mostly my problem with it is that i do have voicechat enabled, but for some reason i just don't know, it works only 20% of the time for me. and one map i can hear people speak, then the next i can't. i just don't know why :{

but i agree that all most important communication should be done via text posting, so *all* can be made aware of things. and coke..come on, thats just a lazy excuse

i communicate solely through text chat, and its not that hard nor takes too much more time. just ask who wants what, mental note it, and when they are there, hand out. i will not say what the + is on any though, to save time. if asked, i will then.

I agree with you all on the basis. Drag is right to that people like kurt and inside and many others- If you scroll and dont know the numbers you wont be able to find all the guns. You have to use the number pad because scroll just skips along. It stupid but it easy to learn.
Amy I agree and I have also learned that you dont have it on all the time or never like drag. I have tried to type it out to the ones like you when you need something. I have noticed lately that there is more typing to certain players now then when there was. Zombie beast and M3rc and I have been trying to type to more people who know they dont have voice enabled.
I do agree with coke. My activate mic is on my mouse so I dont have to stop playing either. Way to easy but its also crazy to try to do anything unless you have voice in the later waves.

IMO- On the chest matter. DRA is right and I actaully hate to open it but I think we set a good policy that who ever opened its with the key gets 1-2 options (usually wand or lady) and then the chest holder gets the pick what they want and can pass out whats left. People need to stop crowding the person with the chest and when you get your gun- get the hell away (why because joeys is going to make the monsters be able to stock players. {FYI} Second its a blessing to get the gun dont bug the person who tosses to you if they can gold it for you and then not leave the error until it is. That is bullshit people. Be happy with what you get.
Depended upon the waves- 1-14 i will only spend two waves trying to help out people and 15-20 you better get your crap packing and hurry up. I do try to read the text and pass the gun I have to that person instead of looking for that gun for who is in front of me.

i have voice chat enabled. but as i said often, it seems to suddenly let me hear things for awhile, then not. one map i can hear everyone, another i don't. and when i can hear it, it cuts and distorts sometimes :/ i have nothing else running when i game at all, so this is like a big mystery!

yes, later wave weapons chest distributing is very difficult. and i did forget to mention like you have that players need to stand a little bit away. tossing can be iffy at times and someone gets a gun meant for another. or standing too close at a bad angle causes the gun to be tossed passed and then someone snatches it. yes..i have seen gun opportunists do this on occasion, but its easy to see who then -..-

In the voice chat options check all the boxes except local and use the higher bandwidth option.

Turn voice chat all the way up and turn the other sound settings down until you have a balance you like

I have my other sounds set at .35 and sometimes down to .30 with voice being up all the way.

i will adminiter the changes now, but i can't play and see if it works since i have plans for the night, woohoo! tomorrow i shall hope the issues lessen or disappear.

wellllllll it takes me 1\4 of a wave to hand out all the weapons when i got it and it takes you 3\4 waves
