hi everyone! i just thought i'd make a forum post about something ut2004 related thats not been mentioned: the music. this game has a lot of tracks of goodness, and among them i have some i really enjoy hearing for setting a background of intensity or very dramatic gameplay. i am including a list of those i like a good bit, and those with asterisks beside them are ones i like a lot. these can be found in the ut2004 Music folder in ogg-vorbis format

it kind of bothers me how many maps we play have no music; it feels as if it is missing something. in such cases, i have a playlist set up by pressing f11 and choosing to play the playlist of tracks in the folder. you can do this too, and include any musics you like that have been converted to the ogg format and they can be played thru ut2004. i know many of you may use winamp or such to play other things, but i think doing this adds more processing and potential client-side lag with another program running, but i am not sure.
i wonder why few edit maps to play any one of the game music selections, but leaves them silent instead. speaking of music in a map, that song that plays on that one oversized dancefloor map (forget what its called currently) actually comes from the server's website download sections for music. its called "i see right through to you." and for those of you obsessed with ppk, many versions are found there too
