useless summoned weapons

Post by Amy Infless » Wed May 16, 2007 10:12 pm

i know there are discussions and maybe topics about useless summoned weps, but i want ask another question, is it possible to "mark" maps (serversided), example: dm-(pb)-shrine* or dm-matrixalley#

so, for example,
the "*" means: no ion-pointer/targetpointer summonable in this map
the "#" means: no minelayer summonable in this map

see what i want? just "all" available, but a bit more workin mapbased. where is the sense of a minelayer in a wide open map when "all" have long-distance-lillys, aks, (e)ssrs, wands? and where is the sense of a target/ionpointer in small "boxed" maps when a (needed) minelayer can rock?

ats

Err....The Mine Layer sucks as much air as a Dyson in open play?

Erm, I think it could be done, but considering the number of maps we have available it'll take a while to do

Amy is was brought up with Joey awhile back. His response was "no" I can't qoute the reason but it was on the basis that it would take to much time to say "yes" on this map for weapons and "no" on the other map. Its up to the map builders to add the stuff in the map or take it away I do feel anyways. Why waste time building a Code for every map when the code works fine. I'm sorry but peope say they ALWAYS get bad stuff. But I also see SSR, WAND, LADY, ESSR running around. Also some of those people crying about luck (Even I used to) will be running around with a SSR one map and cry the next map about not getting summons. I do admit I base my summons luck on a average of the week that I have had playing. But map to map is sort of weak in my opinion.
Later all!

i never heard about a possibilty, mapbuilder can create a map that way, so summons dont gimme a minelayer when there is a minelayerspawn inmap, or dont gimme a deemer when its a deemermap.
if joey says no, doesnt work good/fast/lags w/e, ok. just asked if possible...

Dude, there likes 4 people who know how to fix maps including myself. If we had to go threw all like 350+ maps and fix weapons, UT3 would be coming out like a week after we got it done. It would just flat out take forever.
