Ok guys. Lately on waves 15 and up, I lose my weapon at random and I cannot see anything. No weapons, no bodies, no monsters, no pu's, and then things get really weird...i lose my weapon bar along with the sheild and Mp5. Now I've done some hard work and looked at all my video card drivers and everything but i cannot find the source of the problem. And this just doesn't happen every other games or whatever....this happens every...single...game. I don't know what else to do...

Open the window in your room ........
unplug tower accordingly and toss that hunk of $hit right out the window........................... rofl

Or, we wont and say we did because "THATS WHAT I FEEL LIKE DOING!"

Clean out your cache folder, thats what I did and it worked again

i will raise you. happens to me on wave 10. Cant see monsters, gun, players, or power ups. Around wave 15 i have crashed almost every game i have played. I will try and reinstall, see if that helps.

None of that stuff happens to me.

will you two please learn and look into bug-reports wheres a special topic extra for this weaponlosses??????? and report there please if the "sequence" of "disapearing things" is like in one of my posts explained!

and dont forget to tell all you can remember what happend, in what wave, pings, players, etc....

*edited:*ok, just to inform you here, in moment it looks like we have 2 ways of weaponloss:
1. the weaponloss which noone knows why only weapons "disapear", doesnt matter if with retention or not, with ghost/resurect or not, doesnt matter what ping, where located etc...
2. the "disapearing things" which started with not seeing pus, weaponfire etc and can end in weaponloss or lagout.

but please tell it in the sticky topic!

as far i remember you have a new machine (still waiting for the dm-date :-) )

i can tell you with your new "stuff" this shouldnt be a problem. why, read it in that bug-report topic too, im just testing something and will report it in 1-2 hours there, so if im right with my "test" you will wonder why you have probs with your machine and i not... but wait it out, it needs a bit. meanwhile you can answer the "rest" :-)

nardy, the monsters/pus disappearng incidents i have experienced before occured a few months ago, and was more widespread in experience of those playing. yours sounds like it is just you having this issue. i did recall something said by joey that map errors and funkiness like this can be the result of incomplete and out-of-date maps that people download from other sources rather than from this server...that might be a possibility. the cache clearing as well maybe a full reinstall could be of some benefit if this does keep happening.

as far as weapons disappearing suddenly while alive and playing, i have had this happen under one circumstance, which has happened to others. when one happens to ghost just at the time a wave ends and a new one begins..some messed up thing happends where all guns but the one you use disappear right away, and the wop you hold lose sthe pu effects, including inf, and when ammo runs out or if you switch weapons, the gun totally disapears from hand and from the weapon bar..the only thing that seems to remain is the translocater. this seems to relate to between-wave server saves of players, pus/artifacts, and guns. i don't think there is anything that is known what the true cause is.

also, if suddenly weapons and such only disappear from screen but you can still switch and such, press the = key a number of times and see if anything may reappear. i know, this is a basic ut2004 function, but you never know

you are probably suffering from a bad case of PacketLoss.
