No need to be like that

Post by Venger » Tue Jul 03, 2007 1:39 am

I just wanted to make a statement about something.

I know some people get really upset when power ups are stolen but sometimes it is an accident and people are not even aware they picked them up. Then the person that made the kill gets on the mic or texts saying something like "Hey you f%&ing a$@hole give me back my summons!" without even saying a name and then the person who has the power up just keeps running and playing the game not knowing someone is trying to communicate with them. I will not name the people that do this. You know who you are. Not only is that rude and insulting but totally not necessary. Has it ever occured to some people to ask for it back and be sure to use the persons name or ID you are talking about? I dont expect you to say please but to be called insulting names like that is out of line. Whenever someone asks for something back I give it to them.

I saw a load up screen that said somthing along the lines of "try to get along with others this is not the yahoo drama chat room." I think this applies to the kind of behavior I am talking about.

Sorry for complaining.

Well Venger this has to be around the 12,000th time I said this but THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS STEALING POWER UPS. WHOEVER PICKS IT UP, IT BELONGS TO. If someone bothers you about stealing their powerup just ignore them. If they give you shit. Report it to an admin and we will take care of it (I recommend reporting it to me since I am most familiar with this kind of situation).

Thanks Paintball. I am so sick of this kind of treatment.

And yes I have heard that there is no such thing as stealing power ups but I try to keep not to get into to much trouble.

And I have often wondered about such things. Joey strongly encourages teamwork and there are people that start this crap about "Don't kill my monsters!" what am I supposed to do wait until the monster tries to kill me before I shoot at it? I dont think so. If I see a monster I shoot it and do my best to stay alive!

im often pissed about that and i know about that "whoever picks it blablabla" so i dont ask to get it back, but im telling "may the unreal god give you an avril of rejuv" ... to let them know about... to say it so, its more an act of kindness, appealing to something like sportsmanship, if thats the right word to use here. i mean, if you pick up a summon, is there any problem to take a look if someone stands near you like a beeing pissed poodle or if all run away... use it then when "no name is on it" or toss it to the "poodle" (except if its a highlevler :-) ) to make them happy or earn some respect.

well, with that "dont kill my monsters" i dont really agree.
its different thing if you see a level-10 player trying to kill a luzi with a fire-rate=1-mp5 and hes 1 second before beeing killed so keep him allive and kill monster, the lowlevler wil be happy, or if you see a higher-leveld player trying to kill a grandpa-monster in wave 1 and some "not named"
highleveled fags use adrenspeed to jump in front of you, so you shot at him instead of monster, i think is meant with that, when someone cry that "dont kill my monsters".

but im sure like most time, most wont understand that...thing called "unsportsmanship"... like i said this word would be used in my language, maybe in yours it gives another meaning...
