playing the default map Dust every 1-3 maps is becoming rediculous. there are times it goes 3 times in a row. something needs done, with the very least being changing the default map to another.

i think having some code on the server scan map name being played, and if the default map's name comes up, it will choose another randomly from the list.

another idea is to have the default map be made a carball map. so many times carball misses the vote by one, or in a tie, the invasion map will usually win. this is a variety server and many of us like the occasional CB match among all the efforts getting those XP obsessed n00bs their free points while they don't contribute much overall.

hey, even a random choice made as last man standing, deathmatch, ctf, etc instead...anything that keeps things from getting so stagnant and frustrating for most of us longtime players.

no spree-based experience ever happens on the default maps...so really, it is bad to have the default map be played so so so much D:

Maybe a monthly vote for the default map and it changes every month ?

I to agree that dust is old and just plain needs to be put on the shelf to collect dust.

I agree Default should be changed on a regular basis(thought it was, or atleast used to be) Ohh, and :rock: to the Carball map idea, i proposed that one a while back but they shot me down due to the conflict of having a Invasion server with a Carball Default. I know that I am biased as can be when it comes to Carball, but really, a carball map takes what...5-15 minutes depending on how even the teams are(5-0 shut out or a 4-5 down to the wire) or at the very worst, everyone will hate carball and vote to a new invasion map ASAP instead of everyone being lazy/new people joining that wont vote off the map.But it will never happen

Hmmm, not to sure what to vote here. I agree something needs to be done but by voting yes, what am I agreeing with, cause you've made a few different suggestions there drae.

I agree with random default maps. But I'm strongly biased against any CB at all. I only come here for a team based invasion type game where I can (slowly) improve my abilities in the game. Its RPG (to a limited degree) but thats what appeals to me.

Dust map does suck if its being played repeatedly (is that a word ?). So I agree with new defaults.

this is a variety server..with the best damn invasion ever! its not invasion only, as the owner and admins will all tell you really, with no sprees offered on the default map, it would make for a better choice to have the default map not be invasion. people can vote out, or enjoy a brief something else than sit through 45+ mins of something that haunts one's nightmares! <,,<

I just wish Joeyz could/would set up an "automatic rotation" where the default map would change every week or two.
