Change username from one GUID to another

Hey there,
Me and my wife have been playing on the server for a good minute now, and during this time we have been sharing my computer. Well we finally got her computer up and going, and she has her own copy of UT.
Now I would assume the accounts data is stored on the server and cataloged with the UT GUID. If my assumption is true, who would be the propper person to send her new GUID to, and how should it be sent (PM, e-mail, etc.)?
-Thanks in advance.

i am not sure what this guid thing is...but i assume it is the game serial used?
as you may or may not know, i have played on this server now as draegohn, jylon, and drae...each has its own information saved for the stats/XP/etc.
if you use the same disc at the same static IP, all should be well i think? oh hell, i know nothing. i don't even know what this is all about!
hi chachi and wife!

not rerally sure what you mean, too.
normally you just need to connect..thats all. if you 2 really have 2 different copys (and 2 different keys) its no problem to play. if you (both) want to play on epic-stats-server and you try to connect to this ut opens a requester,, you need to enter stats-name/password in your ut-settings/game/stats-menu.
when you are in settings/game on bottom you will see your unique id, this and your player-name will be sent to both servers.
different is, mm "only" needs player-name and the u.id.
(thats why you CANT change your playername here! *->*)
stats servers need u.id, (stats-)username (not playername) and a password. (thats why you CAN change your name on stats-servers whenever you want, because of your u.id, username+password all will
see on stats-site you changed name to fake or whatever reasons are; but you will NOT lose your international ranks.
*->* when you change your playername on mm, you will "looooose" your levels(ranks...).
when you need to play with another name on other servers (for a clan or w/e) dont forget the name you used to play on mm. rename back to it and all will be fine.
when you 2 share one (slow) connection it could be maybe another problem. but normally it should work.

Stats are tied to player login name and pw not the guid :tonqe:

Yeah, I've played the same account from another connection. Shouldn't be a problem.

Ok cool, I will try entering the same stat name into her ([BGE]chloe) settings.
We haven't really tried it yet. We played on another RPG server in the past, and when she came down to visit for six months, I had to send a PM to that admin to switch over the GUID...
But now that I think about it, I don't think he said what he actually switched. He may have just switched the stat name. Thanks for info, will give it a shot and try.

I think I know what your saying
You want to switch characters so when your on you have your char and when she gets on she has her char. I think thas what your saying.
Anyways this other server I played on said when his wife got on he would take his profile settings out of the ut directory and throw hers in and it would save and switch (thas so no one would delete or save over his crap)
the easiest way i seen to do this is
go into settings then to game and each time you guys switch chars re enter your name and password and your char and stats settings whatever should be there

Another thing it is possible to play with 2 names at once on the same serial key ( Just not on a REAL EPIC UNREAL server) works fine on joeyz and sum others
I have a desktop and a laptop and sumtimes I will join with both my names (General-Chainz , EMPEROR)
I can do it so i believe n e 1 else can

still dont get it what he want.. he said "she get her own computer" so i dont think they want to play with one pc again to switch chars. makes no sense.
another thing is when you have 2 diff. keys why do you want same statsname?
still enter your ingame-names, and when you need to play on stats-servers enter a stats-username and a stats-password.
ahhhh.... i think i know now, lets say when you play on some servers, where scores, ranks, levels etc. are stored on server and, example, you are there level 200, and your wife will play there with her "own char", name and settings but with your level 200, it maybe will work with stats-username and password, but normally it doesnt because of the unique player-id from 2 different keys!

ps: chainz, we ALL play on "real" epic-ut-servers. its just the worldwide stats-option, which can be enabled if the server-owner orders a special server-key, when its enabled you normally cant play on stats-servers with
one original and a copy. hmm, i just remember it was possible in ut2k3, the first one who connected had the "name", the second who connected with same key was only named with "Player", and his "actions" didnt affect and wasnt registered on stats-sites. it only takes effect when the first one disconnected, and the "Player" re-entered game allone. well not sure if this is possible in ut2k4 again, but i wouldnt try it...

I don't think it's linked with CD keys. I do have a second UT key and it would be interesting to try that, but I think Amy's right, it's a WorldStats thing.
