New Wave Idea: Traitor Wave

well, imagine this to be like an army guy wave, but using all of the default character models, and have there be lots lots more! but the difference would be, they are vampable and subsceptible to power staus effect and can make use of all the game's weapons and be able to superspeed run for some, multijump many many times, and have poweruped weapons like blast, razor, rl spread, etc. maybe even make use of combat shotgun alt fire and the like :o
the added challenge would be to really know who is friend or foe during the mayhem, besides being on blue team and colored as such as well as awareness bars over them for those who have the skill.
i got this idea while playing earlier and woud up chasing and shooting someone using a skaarj skin before i realized it was a team player X}

Not sure how you managed that seeing as the player skaarj and the monster skaarj have different animations, but easy enough to make I guess d=P
Cool idea. Might be a pain in the arse to code, but cool idea none the less.

I get those skins mixed up too. I like your idea, but I don't think there even needs to be a wave of them. I would almost prefer "traitors" showing up randomly, causing havoc to unsuspecting players, although I would hope that their green bars wouldn't show up at all but I bet that would be a little tricky to accomplish.

not a bad idea, but i have one for ya...i dont know if you can adjust individual monster levels or not, but it would be cool to see a luci with flare that you could potentially kill and get that p/u (flare) off of him. make him real hard to kill and that way you have to work for your flare..razor...etc..

think about this then...traitors, show up as regular players with a random name stats level etc. but instead of randomly moving through the course they seek out groups of players to attach to and not attacking players until a timer ran down in thier code, trigger or random something or another.
but yeah,...that would be one hell of an ai script

hmm, not what i was expecting when i read the title. I actually though it was gonna be an idea to have a wave where a randomly selected player would be able to go about killing other players while (possibly) being ignored by the monsters. I would imagine a fiarly high exp bonus would be in oreder if you suceeded, it would need to be on a fiarly low wave, and probably best if it is never the highest level player :rub: Sorry Drae

Only way I see that working without being too obvious would be to turn Friendly fire on...
And that would probably cause a riot of idiots shooting each other because "They stole their PUS!"

Meh, im not script savy, but i was hoping it might be as simple as a "We are all team blue, monsters team red" kinda thing, so aa temporary switch for a player to be the "Traitor" and a huge bonus xp if they suceed, no harm done if they dont, just respawn next wave back on blue. But again, that wasnt the aim of this post
