Let the people decide...please leave comments so i know who is playing what

Well, I've played the PS2 version of BF2, and I didn't enjoy it that much. Might grab 2142 when I get my new system and try that.

in all, there are about ten times the number of BF2 players than there are 2142 players. this means more servers, and more variety. plus, if you pick up the expansions (particularly Special Forces, i love that one) it makes for completely different game play. unfortunately, there are the same percentage of ghey hax for both... :axe:


i've been sorely tempted to purchase 2142, since i enjoy bf2 so much and 2142 is built on the bf2 engine. i don't know if it'd be the same in reverse (own 2142 -> buy bf2), but you can maybe ask ortega that.

edit: as far as i am aware, more folk have bf2 than 2142. in fact, i think ortega is the only one with 2142.

Slop's got 2142. He keeps asking me to play with him...Apart from that, I don't know about anyone else.

I have a copy of bf2 and cant play it cause it doesnt support my video card... but I would recommend bf2 because it seems really fun from what I have seen watching others play it. 2142 is more futuristic and bf2 is like todays modern warfare so its easier to relate to. So I vote poll option #3.

i voted option four...not cause i dont wanna play bf with ya, i just cant get on board with those games...dont like em...no offense..

TO be honest 2142 isn't to far much into the future as the year is posting. Hit has buggies. which can carry three people. then a tank. and a EPC (Trasnport Vehicle.) The one big thing is called a Walker. which is like a Transformer type killing machine but is easy to kill if you are the right Char. I love the fact that both games do this. When you attack or are attacked reflection does hurt you and also where you shot the people does more damage. You can tell on both games unlike UT where you wonder...hmmm unless its a headshot only.

They do have more Vechiles in bf2. The did drop off Spec Ops from Bf2 on BF 2142.
I think it would be easy to go from BF2 to Bf 2142 but not easy to go vice versa. There is only two nations the EU and the Pac unlike Bf 2 which has I think 4.

My thing that makes me love the game. You are vunarble on every Char. So you can't just dominate. It make you think what everyone is in your squad sometimes. Can't all just be the same or you wont do good.

I do know that more UT players play BF 2.

the just misqued the ops in all the other four players. THe rifle went to Recon and some also went to Support.
Its alittle hard because you start with standard guns and you usually steal guns from people you kill. So you don't start with the best stuff but got to unlock them as you go in rank. Not sure how BF 2 is that.
