Suggestion for when crate is opened

Post by Chuckles » Wed Oct 31, 2007 7:33 am

Could some sort of special Crate Bunker appear around the damned soul opening the crate, a kind of hybrid of Team Bunker and Team Shield you have to walk or jump into, cannot be fired/transed into or out of. with bright flashing red/blue/green lights outside of it. and everyone inside temporarily benefits from an area of effect Iron Sturdy.

What are everyones thoughts on this, i know people have died shortly after opening crate because they stayed still to distribute weaps and it is hard to pass them out at time.

I Would love to see this, but part where no one can go in/out is not good. You can't wait for everyone to be in that spot with you when you open crate and there will be some dead players for sure, so no inn/out would suck.
But I love this idea

Naw would make it too easy.

A little teamwork is all that's needed. Hang around and protect the one that opened the crate. When you get your weapon don't go running off, stick around until all (or most) of the weapons are passed out.

Too many people concerned more about high score than helping teammates.

um... wait this actualy makes sense, I know from experience that one who openes crate does usualy bad scoring. In other hand from 10 summons i get 9 crap weps so ya take off some arvils frags and demers and add better weps.

The crate will probably stay around for a long while. It was implemented to help provide some reward for teamwork, just like the letters, pu chest, arty chest.

Since the huge majority of the time it takes 2 or more people to get these rewards open I'd say it's working quite well.

What happens after they're open is another story :(

Hey Zombie we tried that team work thing. A wand got me and a few others. I opened the crate asked the 2 people who had the items first and then the next wave started and wham wand shows up.

Ain't THAT the truth, those greedy pointwhores - you know who you are!

we all have roles in the game. You guys need the point-whores to win the games and kill all the hard monsters that most people cant. There is something you need to understand; a metamorphosis that takes place as you advance in lvls. Your role in the team changes. We were all lvl 0 once, helping the higher lvl players with power-ups and artifacts so that they might win the game and us low lvls could get our 1000 xp. When you are a higher lvl it is your responsibility to survive and help win the game for the noobs. All the thousands of xp i have earned for people by winning the game as the soul surviver and all people do is bitch about how i like to win... It is a game, and some one has to be on top! :finga:
