Blast Canon PU Question

Post by [iX]AnnaBeaver » Fri Nov 02, 2007 2:49 pm

Why are you able to put more than one blast canon pu on the flak? Does it increase the damage, speed or power? I'm just wondering...cause I've noticed that blast pu's are extremely rare. More so than they were when joey decreased the number of them available and I think it's because a select few are kinda hoarding them

I've had more than one blast pu on my flak...but if someone else needs one..I'll take one off my flak and give it to them. I'm just curious if having more than one blast pu on your flak changes the weapon in any way?

Good question Anna - because I too have no clue about this!

Last I heard it was like this:

1 blast cannon = 3 mini rockets
2 blast cannon = 6 mini rockets
3 blast cannon = 6 mini rockets with more power

However I don't think it's working. With 2 blast cannons on I still only have 3 mini rockets.

So for now just use one on your flak and share the rest :)

From my perspective, that really depends on situation and map.

I haven't noticed any difference myself. 1 powerup is enough it seems, if 2 blasts used 6 rockets then we're talking about a seriously powerful weapon.

It's kinda funny though. I distinctly remember when I first started playing on the server...I had come across the blast canon pu...and I just loved it..in addition to the flare pu for the RL. But..I remember so many people saying that they hated the Blast canon and much prefered the Razor. So, for the longest time I was able to use the blast pu. But now it seems that the Blast Canon is everyone's fav..for the most part. And there are a several people who hoard them on a very regular basis.....And they know who they are!! So, rather than spread the love...so to speak...they mostly say...pffffft. :finga:

And when people get like that...I think to myself..."do they ever read the text message that shows on screen at the start of each match?"...you know...the one that says..."Teamwork is the key". The funniest part is when the match ends at wave 17...they just don't understand why we lost..LOL! Uh DOY!! \:D/

I would rather see the weapon damage averaged out...and set the # of blast pu's to a flak at 1...and have a max of 4 pu's total in game....just like the Flare. Because I gotta tell ya! If you have 2 people or more using flaks....you will never ever, ever get a blast pu! If you do....you're extremely lucky!! And it's especially a drag when that happens to be your only decent useable weapon.

The only reason I tend to use the flak and RL is because to me...it sure seems like the energy weapons like Link and Shock are almost completely useless. Especially whenever you have to confront a Metallic monster of any kind...even with the penetrating and piercing pu's on em.

MMMMMMM...now that was some good whining right? LOL!!! =D>

An extra slot shock with a turbo laser PU, penetrating, and vorpal, plus your usually goodies is LARGELY under estimated. I can't count how many Holy Sh*ts I have ran using the turbo laser shock combos, very powerful combos with a large spalsh radius. Only thing that sucks about them is sometimes you accidentlly disbale the secondary fire mode because you are trying to shoot so fast after the combo ball release. This ends up causing reguler combos to come out the next time, which don't blow up with turbo primary fire. Thart is only based on a turbo created via PU; a summoned extra slot turbo is NICE!!!

Sorry i got off topic, just a tidbit I wanted to throw out. Turbo power can be talked about in another thread if wanted. Now back to Blast PU...

Like pieces of carnage in a can gun, gotta love them during Soldier waves in a cramped hall.
