I'd say go with the EVGA as they're known as the top Nvidia cards......Then you just oc it yourself.

The only two makers of the Nvidia cards that I've had personal experience with is EVGA and BFG. They're both good. The only reason I originally went to BFG instead of staying with EVGA was the fact that BFG's cards came with cooling fans...when the same model chipset from EVGA didn't. Of course I was concerned with keeping the GPU cool..so that's why I went with BFG. Currently I'm using the EVGA GeForce 7600 GS HD.
Archangel may know more than I do....because he's a tad more into hardware than I am...but that's my experience. What I would suggest is to check out each companies warranty and support options. Because typically, the hardware itself is covered for 1yr, so if it poops out..you can return it. But some companies offer benefits that extend beyond the chip makers standard term.

if something happens when u oc ur cards, evga will replace them so long as no physical damage happens.
I'm still debating on ocing my two cards.

chainz.. don't get the 320MB version, get the 8800GT with the newer G92 core. i just got this one:

pick from this list:

the G92 core outperforms the G80 by a fair margin, and their only like twenty dollars more. i got lucky and picked mine up when there was a one-day sale.. only cost me $229.

MSI is not bad, they are the same reference Nvidia spec cards, just rebranded as MSI, EVGA, etc. But looking at the video cards, they are both the same, the only difference is that 1 is already overclocked(which means will run hotter than the other). If you can wait for another month, a price break is scheduled for the end of this month or beginning of next month. New models are normally out by the 2nd quarter.

well i have the GTS from EVGA, I'm happy with that one, decent overclock headroom and that monster of a fan they put on there does its job (just wish i could've got it at that price)
but i would go with the newer GT, only a tiny bit money and you'll have a much better experiance from what i've heard.
edit: btw once you do get your new nVidia card, check out a nice little program called riva tuner

I completely agree with HWSB,
Get the 8800GT 512Mb.
I buy EVGA, XFX, or ASUS.
I presently got an EVGA 8600gts factory oc. And was going to get an 8800GT with my tax refund, until my wife advised me that she had already spent it on baby stuff.
