Nope, you weren't. I've just been having a bad time overall - first lag problems on the WoW server I was playing on, and then MonsterMadness shuts down in the middle of a really good carball game... I need mah fix man!

Day before yesterday when I noticed the lag I did some tracerts to the server farm in Michigan. I got a huge delay in Chicago each time, so I suspect that maybe weather or someone breaking the line (ie construction) was causing problems.
