Server redirect messed up?

if new players need the maps or the wopfiles and they ahve
no clue about ut, its hard to use ucc files from redirect server.
the next problem is, if you check out the maps you will recognice
there are not all maps which are on this server used for invasion.
also if there are not every map listed, its not sure the available maps
are 100% the same (fixed) like we have here.

for the pathes, i used the same way, and it doesnt matter if you
use / or \ in the line, it doesnt work for external harddrives (atm).
for internal harddrives that work :-(
but that doesnt help as long he says he need diskspace, so i think
his only chance is a way to direct the path to an external drive...

Eta... My most worrisome problem is (hopefully was) the 80,000k WOPMonsterPack_v179 download that restarts if the current game ends.

And for what it is worth, I "googled" WOPMonsterPack_v179 to see if it was an issue, and it only shows up twice, one in some other language, and another with a download that is not quite right. Hopefully this mentioning of it will help someone else down the road...hopefully.

BUMP!

i made mappacks with the newer maps, since redirect server is down again and
some players still dont have them and need now ages to connect or download them.
download the mappacks from the links below, unzip them and move files into your
ut2004/maps-folder

i wondered that we had more than 80 "new" maps, so i splitted them into 3 mappacks.
also it might be some maps are doubled and maybe not on regular 179-server, some
older unfixed maps might come from 180-testserver, but i cant tell the difference...
also some maps may need additional static meshes or texture files which i didnt
recognice yet, i hopefully get all things. guess its only a very rare case if you need
to download a missing additonal file...a "bit" longer...

what you need?

in case it needs ages to download one map you dont have, search for its name in th mappacks-lists here in this topic, download it, unzip it and move maps into ut2k4-map-folder!

any other cases?

I just tried to get on server, Prison map was playing (I installed map yesterday) and the server is still in slow motion.

redirect is down or misconfigured again.... slow map down rates, pulling maps from server itself
