Suggestions/opinion as a newbie/lowbie

First of all would like to say that I'm really enjoying this server and especially the people that play on it.
I came back to UT2K4 a few days ago and this was the server I went in again (apart from DM games).
Get help from everyone and there is no raging and bitching wich I haven't seen in a long time in an online gaming community.
When I did invasion RPG many many years ago people were far from helpfull, but it was on a different server though.
Anyway, I'd just like to voice my opinion as a newbie/lowbie and see if I can contribute in that department to make things more enjoyable for new players (on the server).
As much as I like that everyone is so helpfull it still feels kinda meh that you're rather useless at low level, atleast I feel like I wanna be able to contribute somewhat from my own power.
Sure I don't expect to be able to tank mobs like a high level player or do their damage but atm as a low level you pretty much do 0 damage and die in a second.
Only on a SSR map you're able to actually do something or even possibly get top score since it comes more down to skill and a bit of luck with the type of SSR you get.
So yeah that can be a bit frustrating at times and hopefully we'll see a few things change so that lowbies can contribute more.
Now I don't know what is going to change in the next update and what is already being worked on, so sorry if something is already being adressed or has been there in the past.
What I remember from back in the days when I played invasion RPG is that you could have mob pets.
I think it would be pretty usefull for a lowbie to be able to have one.
A mob pet can do some tanking for you and help you with damage and also while you're hiding somewhere at the later waves, the mob can still help the rest of the team out.
Possibly adjust the pets strength to your level, stronger at lower levels and it gets weaker the higher you get.
I don't know why this skill is disabled but you props have good reason for it but I just thought it would be something usefull to have for a lowbie.
Another thing that could be usefull is a idea taken from SWTOR called bolster.
Bolster pretty much bumbs up your stats to a certain level.
Say you're level 10, you'll have the same stats as a level 50 player.
A higher level player still has the advantage of having more skills etc.
To make things still feel like you're getting more powerfull the more levels you get and to keep higher levels happy cause they spend so much time on it, don't give low level players like max stats of everything but atleast something like a nice healthbonus and damage reduction wich is the main thing that is needed.
This also could deminish in strength the higher level you get and be completely gone at a certain level.
And last but not least, denial available at level 10 or just make it baseline.
Just another thing that I'd like to say as for weapons.
Atm shock and link are fairly weak, they already are weaker compared to mini/flak/rl without mods but there are also a couple of mobs that are completely immune to their damage.
This can be rather frustrating if say you get a good shock and the rest of the weapons you and your team find are pretty meh.
Having more viable options is always a good thing imo + shock is and was my fav weapon.
Something about PU's.
Right now everyone is trying to get that +10 weap etc. and using the suicide commands to be able to get their maxed out weapons.
How about letting the certain important PU's not stack anymore like rock shield and inf and make these more powerfull baseline and possibly adjust the drop rates for balance.
Finding any insta shields can already be a pain in the *** and often isn't achievable, let alone two of them for your entire team.
What this also does is make a WOP with fewer slots more viable and a higher one less desireable.
Less suicide commands and less RNG.
A WOP with more slots will still be better cause you can slap in additional stuff like more healing or w/e you like.
This is all just a personal opinion and from a newbie/lowbie perspective.
Just hope this feedback can help you a bit with further development and everyone is ofc entitled to their own opinion about things.
Sowwy for my bad engrish and spelling, I'm dyslectic and dutch so I can't really help it.
Keep up the good work and thanks everyone for the great help you've given.
I'll see you ingame.
