btw, rumple, here my trace:

Image

like you can see, the last 3 visible from your and my trace are the same.

in my trace in line 15 would be game server, in yours its line 10.

as far i can see from your picture there is no problem. if you look into my one,
in line 10 there is a "*"
if its every now and then "only" one "star", it doesnt matter and doesnt say anything.

if you do that traceroute when you experience that "lagproblem", and you see many
of these stars like 2 or 3 in the same line and in more lines following, then some
serious crap is going on and you cant do anything against that except waiting..

also i dont know what time it is when you normally play, it might help when you
try playing when not 95% of the world is trying to do anything in the internet...
like the rushhourtimes when all come home from work, morning, lunchtime, evening when
all try to check their emails etc....
just find out when there are these "bottleneck-times"...and dont play on these times then...

if its a permanent problem... you should rethink about your ut-settings... it
seems like the good old ut2k4 has a bit a problem even on newest high end pc´s
in some situations when your ingame gfx settings are all set to ultra-high.

best for my old machine is 1024x768 and most set to low/normal, theres not even one high,
higher, highest or ultrahigh setting. also every "eyecandy"-feature is off...
ultrahigh or maybe even ultralow settings can only be manually entered in ut2004.ini,
the ingamesettings cant be set that way.

ats
Do not try kill THIS bug !!! ->Image Your monitor may not like it...

Those who correct my English will be shot! Survivors will be shot again!

Just spoke with Rumple, seems to be all resolved now that he got a new router.

Amy, Gametracker will stop streaming game servers after a month of no one playing on it.
