Well, ive been around for a little under a month now, long enough to make a few friends and a few enemies, and i figured i throw out a little info about myself for any who care. Im 22, currently stationed in hawaii(navy) Pearl Harbor to be exact. Im married, no children, and have a wife who is in to gaming(big plus). Ive played UT since i was 16 or so. I hadnt played ut2004 in about 2 years due to a lost cd key, but then the anthology version came out and i picked it back up, and just happened to join joeyz server first. I have been hooked since, and I try to be as much of a team player as i can. I hope ive made a decent impression on most, and Border_2, if at all possible, id like to put past aggression behind us, (i only accused you of idling because 2 points were scored that match before you moved, and I apollogize if you were just loading slow/afk, i didnt see any message) But yeah, I really feel part of a community here and hope to continue watching it grow. and the MMO part of the topic, just wanted to hear what mmorpg's any of you might play, i currently have an active Phantasy star account which i will probably drop when Vanguard comes out. Any questions just ask, and look forward to seeing yall on the server.(im on duty right now, why you guys dont see me every so often)

Well, its not much but I do actually run an Ultima Online server. We're not huge, maybe 25 online at a time during peaks and the entire server is under a rewrite that I'm doing alone but hey, you can always drop by. You can download UO for free right from the official UO site and you never need time codes or anything to get online on my server.
http://pol.crystalgate.org is the address,
http://forums.crystalgate.org is the forum address where you can drop a post or two if you need help setting up.

MMOs...? You mean just RPGs or wot? I start with the ORIGINAL Quake, which is technically an MMO game. If you wanna talk recently, I dabbled with EverQuest before immediately afterward going to WoW, which I played for a few months up until my baby was born, then gave it up to save (A) time and (B) money. Why pay to play such games when I can play for free on others?
Besides, after playing with so many of you for the time I have, I would be hard-pressed to go to any other server. I just wonder what is going to happen to MonsterMadness when UT2K7 comes out. Yes, I am going to buy it - the UT series is one of the few games I have/will continue to buy.

Yah, i was refering more to mmorpg, and really i dont consider shooters with 32-64 player caps MMO...multiplayer for sure, but restricted by server. Planetside, as well as upcoming games Tabula Rasa and Huxley are the only shooters that aim for the mmo scale. Guild wars is kinda that way too, a big chat lobby where you can pair up and join individual maps, why it can stay free. Glad to get the feedback, if i ever get some extra time i may try UO, i hear its pretty tough by todays standards. 50+ hours straight at work without going home while in port >.<

My sister's ex-boyfriend got me into Ultima Online but it was a while before I played it because I never wanted to pay monthly to play. But then I accidentally stumbled upon this free server almost 6 years ago. Back then, they were one of the largest free servers out there with 200+ online all the time (back then the emulator couldn't handle much more than that). As time went on I found myself doing a lot of helping for them but the playerbase took a huge slide downhill. Eventually I inherited the mess and kept it from completely dying out. Now I'm lead administrator and developer for them and piecing the whole server back together again. It does look somewhat promising too since the base is growing albeit slowly.
