Bettering your aim

the most important aspect to doing well in any fps is aim. there are a few things one can do to help this. first, computer hardware and network geographic distance from server can affect how you play, and are the physical aspects to hitting one's target. the advice here is pretty logical.
anyways, here is what i have done in the past and still do.
1) turn all your reticles into a simple dot. this allows your eyes to start getting an idea where the screen center is without needing reticle assistance
2) switch gun point of view. normally i have small gun on bottom right corner of screen. i sometimes switch to the left. believe me when i say this can be very very disconcerting at first, specially with weapons that you need to predict target-aim on when strafing and the like. the past days when joey server was down, i went to my previous invasion server (IDIC) and started a new character unde rmy alt name some of you know
i have played the entire time with gun on left side or..
3) showing no gun at all. just view the screen and center as it is!
4) play invasion or instant action wth godlike enemies. this can help a lot with being on the go under such heavy pressure where one tries to make shots count with such limited ammo.
5) play another invasion server where infinite ammo is rare or nonexistant. seriously, i played IDIC a lot because it was very fun, and one needs to be a master of every single weapon and switch often between them since ammo runs out. thank god for resupply 4!
anyways, that server is the one i polished my weapon use the most on, but this server has brought out greater intensity and skills with the application of so many enemy types each needing strategy, player movements, and so many guns with which to master appropriately. also..that server has a lot of jerks on it, and if you think here can be bad, you should know some there. omfg..some just pick you apart if they suspect you have an infinite gun, which many do because i have 200 ammo bonus and resupply 4 there and can make each weapon cache last long in most waves but the last few. hehe, i get accused on this server for cheatig/hacking/aimbotting...and there i am harrased by those who think i am hording inf guns. no peace wherever i go! D:
