Retards opening crates

Post by SirBeast » Thu Oct 11, 2007 8:40 pm

Here is a hint for the n00bs when it comes to the weapons crate:

there are a number of weapons in the crate that you cannot toss.

Among these are the AK47 and SSR - two weapons I - and I would guess others - consider to be among some of the most powerful in the game.

If you WILL NOT actually be USING any of the non-tossable weapons, then have some consideration for your teammates and allow one of them who WILL use them to open the crate for you. I am SURE they would be happy to give you the weapon of your choice, rather than have you be a greedy hog and keep even more weapons for yourself.

This is my 2 cents - if you think it's worth more than that, you got yourself a bargain!

Might add that considering the number of weapons, it'll take time for the player to report and toss weapons. Don't start getting pissy with the player due to taking too long or ignoring them "Just because".

I forget when it was, but I had the horrible task of tossing out with lag. Had about four people harassing me after that. Might add I didn't have my mic then as well

Never again d=)

If the weapons crate is a problem for you guys, we can always take it out.

Good point DJ - if you open the crate, expect to take a good wave or two passing out weapons. Often though we can get lucky enough to hold off killing the last mob in a wave until all the weapons are passed out. So if you see the splash sceen "(Player) has opened the weapons crate" please take note and try not to kill the last monster(s) until all the weapons have been handed out.

the crate is not a problem, the problem is the impatient people and the people who think they are the most important and deserve the best weapon the instant that the crate is opened. i love to see the crate opened but unlike some players i dont mind too much about which weapon i get, and i wont whine about it if i dont get the "right one". i just keep killing monsters with whatever wop i have.

Usually I don't open the crate for the reason of having to deal with impatient or snooty people. Heck, usually when it is opened I don't even call a weapon, by the time it is opened I usually have something or decentcy made.

Now if an opener is saying he has weapons and does not get a reply, I'll usually say something like, "Well, If no one else wants it... then I'll take it."

Word of advice to those who do ask for weapons, artifatcs, or PU;'s from any crate/chest opening. Don't piss around getting to the person. If you say you're gonna go get something, get it directly. I am sure the opener would love to get back to the game as well.

Well, I'll only call for a weapon if I had one of the parts needed, or I have nothing worth keeping.

unless its me or someone that i have played on MM with for a long time, i never bother with any of the crate BS anyways. people like DTE and air and nard would hook me up when they got crate, but i dont even ask when other people open it. its not worth it to me. everyone sits around asking the guy who opened the crate for weapons, and most of the time it takes too long to pass them out. so i dont ever really bother.
