THANK YOU 1800! This is another point I have been trying to make from the start, but you've worded it better than I have yet!1800 wrote: please remember that there are enough people here that play that are mature, and dont want to tolerate childish behavior. that is what this is about. not about beast vs border. its about someone who has proved himself long over to be helpful to the community vs someone who has repeatedly caused problems with more than one person. this person who has several locked threads in the forum due to his mouth!
Ah, a new year, a new rant, same old garbage.

first off step off zombie there are reasons he takes a an admin break when it comes to border and kurt.
Even if he were to be just in banning both, it a may be construed as personal reasons.
As someone said admins are players to so step off when they are raggin

Is someone ragging on Zombie??? [-X If so, they shouldn't be. It's rather annoying when some people seem to think that being an administrator is a kick back, lazy ass job  Quite the opposite, when I start seeing some of the complaining people running their own sites and servers, then that's a different story. Until that occurs, people should keep their gripes about administrators limited to serious issues and not simple "boo hoo", "woe is me" issues.
We have been talking about the pu issue for a while now and I don't agree or disagree with Paintball's guidelines about pu's, but I do see the need for it. Everyone can take whatever course they so choose. But, since it will be fairly impossible to ever create a definitive rule regarding the obtaining of pu's that makes everyone happy, to make the game more enjoyable and a greater chance of winning a match, I pretty much do the following when it comes to pu's.....
1. If I obtain a pu that didn't come from a monster that I killed and that another player was "CLEARLY" trying to pick up, and is from a monster they killed, then I give it back to them. If they don't want it...they'll usually let me know. But if it is a somewhat important pu like and instagib shield, blast canon, flare, titan shield, damage 5 etc. (we all know what the most important ones are, mostly cause they're not as frequent) I will take a moment to ask them if they need it. In my opinion, it's bad sportsmanship to reap the rewards of someone else's work, and sometimes it can be work in order to kill a monster.
2. Offer up important pu's in chat to the other players. If no one replies after the wave has ended, I will usually wait to see if anyone requests a pu that I have. If I still get no response to my offers, I toss all the poo poo pu's and retain the important ones that way they are available if anyone needs them.
What I don't care for is some players super speed around and snagging every pu they can super speed to. Yet, when other players are asking for pu's, they don't share or help anyone else but themselves. And they sure as heck don't offer to juggle any good weapons with anyone other than maybe their close buddy.
I don't know why there are so many people that just don't get it!!! "HELPING OTHERS IS IN YOUR BEST INTEREST!!" #-o . It's not about getting the top score, it's experience that helps you level up. And helping someone else to create a good weapon doesn't take anything away from your exp pts, if anything...it helps you win the match..and get more exp. pts. Does anyone think a match will be won if the top lvl players are dead, and a mid/low lvl player is the last one alive but has a crap ass weapon with a smattering of so-so pu's on it? Honestly, if you think that you'd win the match....your view may be a tiny bit askew.
I especially love the players that complain about everyone taking their pu's and not sharing weapons, but do that exact thing when they've got a kick ass weapon. If you're gonna complain like that, first off...do it on the forums, and not in game. Second, you might want to make sure that you're not making a hypocritical statement when you do complain :-$ . It's just a thought...
It all boils down to selfishness and the "Me, Me, Me" attitude. There have been many times that I've played over extended periods of time, and for a couple hours, everyone is helpful and assisting others with weapons and pu's...and the vast majority of the time, we do win. But you can always tell when a new crowd of players comes in....it's like the whole overall feeling of the server changes...and then it seems most people are all about themselves...and poo on everyone else. Which is fine...but playing becomes a drag..and we rarely win a match.
Bottom line!!! In my opinion, you've got two options to choose from..
1. If you wanna be selfish and not play as a team player...then keep your yap shut when you don't get any help from anyone. You can be safe in the knowledge that you've helped no one but yourself, yet that won't help you win any matches and you find that you didn't enjoy playing the game.
2.If you wanna share, help others and be a team player, then you should absolutely do so. You can be safe in the knowledge that you were a team player, you offered help, you got helped, and that can help you deal with the possibility of losing a match, or it can enhance everything if you do win the match. But when all is said and done....win or lose...you'll know that you enjoyed playing the game.
You can choose either option, but it's been my experience that I enjoy the game much more, and make alot more friends by sticking to option 2 =D>
The choice is yours......whatever choices you make, just remember..... you'll have to live with the results of those choices.
