sirbeast,
did you forgot acdc? twisted sisters? kiss? saxxon? ....well and many many more..endless "oldschool"-heavy metal/hardrock

it doesnt matter which one, there will be no group or whatever/ whoever with 100% good tracks. and many only have 2 or 3 good things, but the rest of 10 albums are crap.

well, try "ACCEPT" and the solo-projects from their lead-singer called "U.D.O."
try "WARLOCK" and the solo-project from female lead-singer called "DORO"
and try "scorpions"... (well all 3 the most-wellknownst german-hr/hm-bands)

how comes i know them?
i loved them to hear @ school... after 12 years this love to this music
ended cause of.... mhmhmhm.... lovers`grief...and turned into
love to "techno"...

@tfh:
calm down... "techno" is a very "extensible" notion.

after all the years in visitting discos and clubs and many great events
(i only call the four in europe most
known called "love parade"(in berlin, open air with 40 giant sound-trucks movin slowly from one end to other and back in midtown on "street of 4. july" with more than 1.000.000 "ravers"), "nature one" (open-air/tents in an ex-american-atomic-bomb-bunker-areal), "MAYDAY"(greatest in-door-event in the "dortmunder westfalenhalle" with 36.000 "guests", and "thunderdome", best hardcore/gabber-events in the netherlands)
i learned: 90% of all them who said: "i hate techno" "techno is [whatever bad word you have for]"..(so, just only negatives about the "music" techno) do not know "what" <techno> is. and 80% of them never visited
really cool little underground-"techno"-clubs.

if you ask them,
"uhm, sorry, what is techno for you?"
the 99%-answer is:
"that commercial soulless senseless electronic "music" which you can hear daily in top10-radio, on mtv or viva or whatever you love to hear or whatch and where people take these lil pills (extasy)".....

wow... i "love" this stupid wrong answer.
like i said, turkey, calm down, they (mostly) dont know.
i learned to make differences between techno and techno.
for me in my oppinion basically "techno" is ALL electronic music.
(not electronic made, i talk about what i hear, not what electronic equipment is used to create a track, and this can be a hardrocktrack
too!)
it doesnt mean its "THE" techno i love and want to hear.
because 1.: i want to hear "techno" with NO voice or only some lil voice-samples.
2. i really hate commercial techno with crap singers and their crap voices.

if a track -however- becomes a top10-hit, its not techno anymore, and all real technofreaks start to hate this commercial crap, cause its not "underground" and for techno-ears-only-unique-sound anymore so the good vibe of a good track is gone.
it is really hard to explain. if you never got that feeling(s), you will ever
stay with that stupid answer.
oh well, and for those who want stick a nose into it:

http://www.di.fm/

hmm... well, ok, sometimes i make exceptions...like with "ppk", cause it remembers me to my good old trance-days around 1996-1998...
