That article didn't give much information, too bad. If those two scientists indeed forced the photons to move beyond their speed limit, they would've gained heat and mass as per laws of Quantum Physics. Sounds like they would've made a bomb and blown their asses to pieces if they in fact succeeded in what they claim.

I'll keep an eye out for an update to that experiment, believe you me.

I was under impression that spread of magnetic field is faster than speed of light.

UPDATE: As predicted, there's a high probability that these claims aren't exactly, shall we say, infallibly correct -- but at least someone's giving it a go, eh?
Magnetic field speed is the speed of light. Or at least I think it is, long time since I did Physics.

they wouldnt necessarily made a bomb look up dark matter production/reproduction. they make this stuff in tenessee or kentucky somewhere . if 1 lil molecule touches the sides of the pipeline it travels through it will leave a giant crater where this facility once stood. magnetic fields are a son of a bitch lol .
Also there was a article where scientists have invented "Teleportation". Yes folks they did it they can teleport now......but.....it only works on grains of sand lol.

The only place where Newtonian physics breaks down is in Quantum Physics...where tiny things don't travel...they are in one position at a point in time, and are in another position in the next point in time...no traveling. Basically quantum physics *is* teleportation only on an extremely small scale.
It sounds to me like (assume this is a factually correct piece) that these guys have managed to slightly enlarge the scale of quantum physics. If that's true, we're one step closer to "beam me up, Scotty." :prayer:

I guess the only question now, is.... "When/Where can I buy one?" :axe:

yep that is almosst exactly what they said in the article like i said only works with sand right now

but it is a step closer and prolly not in our lifetime or our childrens lifetime but 1 day we will have it

Lol I do alot of reading on stuff like this has anyone seen the article where they say it may be possible to build a time machine they think they can do it with sum of the "Dark Matter" they are collecting. Anyways they say we might be able to make one of them but we can only go back as far as the day that we invented the time machine so we invent a time machine september 20th 2007 that would be the farthest back any of us could ever go

Quantum physics is normally limited to the electrons that revolve around the protons, inside the nuclei of matter. So, relatively speaking, sand is enormous.

Check out the 11 mile webpage for a nice representation of how small that scale really is.

and how far did they teleport it?
