But that because I don't see you that much anymore beast and "hewhosmokesbowls" who is that. Hmm...I think there needs to be a about 2-3 admins added. Because of the time zone. But for the East cost I would leave it for you two to watch the kiddies.
I guess I will finally speak up on this topic.

OrtEEga (haha2) - I am on almost every night, after my slight hiatus a month or two ago, and usually from about 8 or 9 PM to 11-midnight EST - usually later on the weekends, of course. Why we don't see each other online more often than that, I don't know. What I do know is that it's unfortunate that we aren't on the server at the same time more often... you're one of those who I am always happy to see on the server when I come in.

I agree about needing 2-3 admins needin added, spreading across time zones - one for eastern, one for western, one for "other" (ie: Hawaii, UK).

If by the good graces of Joey (see also: GOD) I was made an admin, I would like to think that I would primarily limit my administrative activities to rule enforcement - you know, kicking idlers and the like.

As far as forcing maps - I doubt I would do that very often. I know this might not fly well with some people - especially when CarBall gets voted then crashes us back to the default map (I *HATE* it when that happens too) - but that's the reason we have the option of a mid-game mapvote.

Regarding "admin player perks/bonuses" - I'll admit that I do like it when S.I.K.P.U.P.P.Y. gives one of us GOD mode when that person is the last remaining amidst an insane number of mobs, or when we all get nukes (both a rarity, of course) - but also I doubt I'd do that at all either. I'm of the frame of mind that if we aren't skilled/strategic enough to win a map, we didn't honestly deserve the win, and in the long run that (hopefully) promotes usage of strategy/teamwork when the lost map is played again and we try to figure out how we CAN win it.

OK, I'll step off my soap box now. Honestly, this post is pretty much irrelevant because, in the end, the choice of adding admins, if any, is Joey's alone, and of course I will support him in whatever choices he makes for the server.

M3rc is only one to choose

Post by border_2 » Fri Sep 07, 2007 11:47 am

From what i see M3rc is the only person that could be an admin without playing favorites which btw we have a couple of peeps that are being voted that would play favorites and force maps, not to mention may be quick to bann people. Its joeyz decision but from the options he has been given its an easy choice!Having an admin that is an all around teamplayer as well as having many hours played a day would also but m3rc on top there also.I wonder if the remaining Admin are putting in enough time or if they are able to be here more?

yeah sum would play favorites but i think most of the players up for votes (which is mostly vets) would follow rules and be fair bout things.

I just never see Bowls or you beast and I hear you on. But I don't get on until around 8:00 and its 11:00 your time. I only see you on weekends. Still haven't seen mr. "hewhosmokesbowls" but I here he is still around....

The only time I would see CJ would be around midnight my time or on weekends and He never took favorites. Zombie is one admin who I play with the most as far as admins go and we talked all the time on Skype. He would even tell me to nock it off on skype or in game. So I think people would do what they are asked to do and not play favorites. I do know Zombie will force a carball map BUT its because the map was voted. He does it for Invasion also. Puppy and Chuckles are two of the funiest admins who are cool with everyone and dont take sides. I've had Chuckles go off on me.HAHA

I just think we need TIME ZONED admins. Joey has done a pretty good job on picking the ones hes got but UT itsn't their game as it used to be. That is the issue I think that we are having. Not a lack of Admin but they have moved on and still come back to MM. (BERT) (CJ), (Zombie-Starting to come back though)
Later all!

eh... i get in an hour or two here and there. just haven't had any time for UT lately. :(

not really sure i'd want to be an admin anyways, since i'd have to listen to the whining that comes from certain folk...

Current admins are in different time zones (for the most part). I'm west coast. If the others want to chime in with theirs than they can :)
If you lost your cd and have the old drive and have not reinstalled UT2004 or reformatted the drive, you can find your old cd key in the registry here ...
