I don't see why people make such a big fuss out of this stuff...ok so he believes in your god, and that guy he talks to the same god in a different language, the one over there he teaches about a different god, and i don't think that she believes in a god, ohh and that group they praise many gods...people are different, nothing to get killed over or write laws about
and my thoughts you want to pray in public schools go right ahead, and if some mother says that her kid shouldn't see this, then that mother needs to get an education and learn that there are people that don't share her views. If she want her kid to grow up and be accepting of other cultures banning the child from seeing (and as such questioning, have to please both sides here) these cultures is not that way to do it. and i really really feel bad for that kid :rub:
no offense was intended in the construction of this comment,

i suppose that the reason for no god involvement in public schools is just an attempt at keeping the place free from discrimination, discomfort, or any negativity that can arise from based on beliefs. it should not be disallowed if one wants to pray at some opportune time since it really does no harm. if someone believes in no god or simply dioes not wish to recite the pledge of allegience to flag, then they should be given the choice not to partake than face pressure of any kind. i never recited the pledge of allegience to the flag past elementary school, i just saw it a something forced and i felt annoyed by it. i received detentions time and time again for doing what--just standing there and not saying anything. yes, real nice freedom this country gives, eh? this only made me hate school and what it all stood for all the more. anyhow forced actions as a result of a particular religion over someone is what i disagree with and what this no godliness in school things is to be about.
most know the US is basically christian-based, and that is fine until it starts to become harmful in ways. face it, the Creationist view is a little ignorant to evolution because it is realy how all life came to be to this day. even if one believes this way, why is evolution still wrong? ok, god or whatever created this and that in however many days...are we speaking solar days or god days? who the hell knows if millenia are a blink of an eye to this god, and evolution was the method in their own interpretation of a "day"
such strict views and closed-mindedness keep people from accepting truth or Truth and hinder the search for what more there is.
and religion in public school have made the lives miserable to so many people, not just in schools. look at homosexuals and the misery that christian religion has had on them from a section of the bible that also seems to condone killing people in horrible ways for menial stuff as it is. but no, in many southern states' public schools even today, if someone who is gay talks about their sexuality, tries to be with others, or whatever..they are cut from gym classes, forced with punishment from the administration, or even threatened with expulsion. and when homophobic people harm these people, guess who faces the punishment? the innocent gay person for being what they are. all this because such areas of the US are so strong in their relgious beliefs.
removal of religion from schooling was an attempt to stop such stuff from happening in a more neutral environment. if you have a problem with it, find a school that it is based under. that is your freedom. oh, and if i am not mistaken, isn't is stated in the bible to not give such great reverence to false idols? well, why are we giving allegiance to a FLAG? :o yes, i know its a symbol of the country, but any priest will tell you not to pray or worship in front of a statue a jesus even if you are well meaning in motivation to jesus himself, not the statue.
anyhow, any religion that seems to wish to cause lessening sense of comfort and greater more harm to the living beings of this world and threaten peace and brotherly/sisterly existance surely is not worth following. it seems to me that acting in those negative ways does not seem the way of the spiritually enlightened and open-hearted, but more of this ill-willing devilish character spoken of in in such scriptures. hmm.... well, anyways, this is just my opinion.

Here is Nards opinion on the whole deal here.
This is America. Our four fathers founded this land over 300 years ago. We fought against the British and French for this land. We were the rebels. We were the underdogs. We were the the train that thought we could. This is what WE defended for. To have peace, freedom, and a loving country. So far, we have done a good job keeping it that way. We were all white people, who believed in Christianity. We have put God and Jesus everywhere around us, on our dollar bills, coins, flags, etc. God defines our Superior Nation. We dominated countries who thought they could come in here and take our land from us, but soldiers, minutemen, and even civilians fought for what we wanted, a new free land. We all put god into our lives to bring him to where we are today.
Now, you see stuff like this, different culturals coming in here with different beliefs. Sure there is no problem with them coming in here and expressing there beliefs but if they come in here and turn around our country, even I will not allow this to happen. This is not right. Not even the list bit. Everyday in my AP History class we used to talk about current events going on before we started out the day. One of the events I think some of you might remember is having our National Anthem in the spanish language. Uh screw that! This country was founded on the English language, who are we to turn around and speak it in spanish? If your spanish and you want to say the national anthem while we say it in our language..then say it aloud to yourself. Now, we got people we are offended by God. Are you immigrants out of your F-ing mind when you came here!? This country was built on Christianity. Thats our founding religon and will continue to be.
Then theres this BS about a Islamic church being built in New York? No, that shouldn't happen. You don't put that kind of religon into a place like this that is a huge no no. Especially at a time like this when we are at war with jihad activists.
Theres something else that I don't think anyone else in this whole country can realize but me. Is anyone hear familar with the Israel/Palestine conflict going on? Its one of the worst conflicts going on in the middle east. Its between the two religons of Islam and Juddaism. It all started out after WWII when we promised a free land for the Jews in Israel, sense Germany asked for the Ottoman Empire for help, if they won the war, they would give the muslims Israel. Even when Germany lost, the muslims still wanted their land. So the U.S. tries to take over and puts the Muslims in Palestine and the Jews in Israel. Thats when religous conflicts broke out. Most people don't know this but over 90% of all wars have to do with religon. Also around this time, India and Egypt (I believe) was fighting over each other, just because of different beliefs. Now, if we are going to have Christanity, Juddaism, and Islam in one country, we might end up with a war we really don't want to have.
This is all my opinion. To some it up I am against bringing in new religons into our country. You can bring your beliefs but please keep them to yourself. This is America, you can say what you want but god damn you know that our religon is whats going to stay.

"Superior Nation" - Superior to whom? In what sense?
And to which version of God do you refer?
Catholic? Protestant? Baptist? Pentecostal? Mormon? Scientology? etc
If you or any other reader of the forum are interested in the true facts that make up America's history then I suggest you consider the following book.
Its a great read, very informative and 100% the truth
