i was asked to take a screenie of this, and under the circumstances of the map and weapon i had, i am proud of this since winning a small and passage-full map with nooks and crannies like this is not easy at all. and like the other two high scores i posted here, i will tell a small story ^,,^
well, being the size map it was and how confined, i knew my usual mp5 was not going to be very good. so i golded it and started adding whatever useable pus i could. i was tossed the artifact chest to hold on to by someone randomly like many lower level player friends do with me since i stay alive well. the next wave intimidator passes out flaks of power 8, and that was much better than the flak i was preparing to use, which was just a sturdy flak :{ so i grabbed one and kept using the mp5 with infs.
in the next wave or two, ariel_swe summoned a lady, then killed himself with it. so i offered him my only heal pu so he wouldn't die again on next wave, but he got one by the time i found him. i tossed him mine again anyways since the self-healing nature of the gun is very necessary, and i knew i would get another heal pu eventually.
at wave 7 with all the nalis, i finally snagged a heal pu and a blast cannon pu within seconds of each other and went to hide somewhere fast to unload my mp5 and add everything to the flak. i do that and all is well until the next wave. smith wand got me, twice. i hate how they know to follow a ghost apparently -..- so i lost artifact chest and a double damage i was holding on to.
the following waves is the usual shoot-em-and-kill and look-around every corner since this map has low visibility at much range. i acquired an enhanced triple damage somewhere in that time. on wave 14 i killed one of the queens and got myself a lightning rod, woohoo! i started using it right away to get as many kills as i could, but alas, i had no energy 5 and only one single energy. so i vainly sought for one, but no luck until right before wave 17. ariel-swe for some reason (i think he had restart the game for some glitchy thing happening..and yes, he lost his lady :{ ) started dumping all his excess pus on me, and among them was an energy 5. so i go hide among a group of others near the flak and strip my gun to reconfigure it for as much damage ability and energy as i could. i return to fighting.
i didnt think we'd make it past wave 18, not on a map like that. so i sat in a section where only a hallway was behind me and facing to the corner where a ton of enemies gather in that spot where 4 steel girders support a large room of broken floor (beneath the super shield spawn point). i remained there and moved cautiously back and forth to use my blaster and the lightning to get all i could. that room swarmed with effigies, valgaries and turbo laser dragons. if you guys think razor flak, the spread or the bombs are good..seriously, the blast bombs are so freaking strong, and my preferred flak pu always when i do use that weapon. but we made it! wave 19 i decided to do the old fast runaround and let my lightning pick off warlords than allow myself to sit around and wait for a deemer to poke me in eye out of nowhere!
then wave 20. i really didn't know what to do, so i started my enhanced triple damage artifact, went to different spots on the map for a moment to kill, and move on. with my score, 3 rages and +10 damage, i knew the vortex and wands would be spawning near me, so i could not stay too still for long. oh, as an aside...you will know on wave 20 when a vortex appears..it causes a very brief, but still rather smooth lag spike before it it about to shoot. i wonder if any of you noticed this before. but to continue..i just went around and did all i could. but almost within the first few minutes, everyone but kurt, border2, and i had perished. and it all came after us x,,x at this point i started to book it and move to spots with the least amount of yellow blips on the radar. i picked up a regular triple damage at some point and i wound up in one room with border2. i tossed him that triple damage i found earlier in front of him and went on my way.
after evading and killing a vortex attempt near me, i see a wand, and i ghost, not too far. then i see border2 get wanded and out of the game. i was scared and knew the game was about to end for me, so i went to the wall closest to the wand, pressed up to the side as close as i could, and somehow mylightning was going off, though few enemies were that close. so i stayed there and kept shooting and shooting into the hallways ahead where i saw enemies, and then i see nor hear the wand again. i took a dare and went in the room, and he was dead! so i think lightning can go through walls sometimes o..o
the rest of the wave was just monster madness! huge groupings of all types, and i would run rapidly through them with the blast and lightning, turn, and go back...kind of like jousting. and in the end, we had won :} woohoo!
thanks goes to everyone for helping in the wave, especially ariel_swe for the helpful random pu dump on me. i could not have kept lightning and triple damage going without that energy 5 pu. i really don't like asking for stuff in the game, i feel i may waste other people's time with searching and putting them at risk. i normally find most i want eventually and have no rush for any pu but that first inf. once i get that, anyone can "steal" my pus and i don't really care
