Too much. Tweek it down a little. The only time I have seen us win is because of lag and not because of teamplay and skill. Sorry I want a challenge but this a little too much.

I couldn't agree more, Von, on all counts...

I couldn't agree more, Von, on all counts...
I have played alot of rounds on this hardness and I say we win about 55% of the time, well the time I played anyways..

strange... we won like 8 from 10 maps, not easy, some strange, but all without level-260+ - onemanshows.... just wonder...

The difficulty was lowered from .6 to .55 as of half a hour ago.
If you lost your cd and have the old drive and have not reinstalled UT2004 or reformatted the drive, you can find your old cd key in the registry here ...

ok, i would kind of like to know what these .55 or such difficulty settings mean if someone can explain. i mean, is that like 55% of something?

and true enough that it seems when the level 260+ players like myself are on, it is truly impossible to kill the monster types i speak of so much without vorpal. i can shoot a titan with damage +10 fireball for a minute, and with awareness 2 skill, i see absolutely no decrease in the hp bar.

the form of difficulty is not too much and yet at the same time, it is too much when you can't kill anything or make a scratch. if somehow, it was possible to keep the monster's damage increase, but make it so thet they don't have protection +10000 or whatever makes that situation happen. this is why i wondered what the difficulty numbers mean and how it is tabulated in monster stats.

anyhow, i have seen the way maps are won...there have to be a fair amount of low level players alive at all times and not so many real high level players on. when low levels die, the only thing to kill the monster s is either vorpal or ice rune.

so those of you who think it always works fine, or just lightly hard, you must be playing during afternoons or evenings when more low level players are on.

this is kind of sad in a way..i love love love the times playing with other higher level friends here, sometimes real early morning when it can be just 6 others. so while i also love increased diffciulty, there is much impossibility and many illogical gameplay situations. like don;t join mid-map or you won't get anything in time before dying since you either due before getting to one wep spawn point or can't kill anything to get any powerups, or don't have a weapon loss or you may as well just leave then and there.

there needs to be some kind of tweak. it appears only having rapid fire-multiprojectile weapons are the most useable since vorpal is needed so badly now, so having fireball in such situation is just poor.

i think maybe a second gold wrench needs added..i'd probably wop any nonnegative mini i have just to stick an inf and vorpal on o,,o

Some1 please correct me if am mistaken, but I believe that is the percentage of the average player level.

So, if average player level is 200, the mobs are 55% of that, or level 110.

Honestly I can no exactly describe what these numbers are..guessing its the monster difficulty? Lets just say, when its sent to 1.00...

YOUR SCREWED!!!!!!!

Not even You, Me, Cadmium, AXE, Border, T Money, Chainz, Gonzo, Budda, M3RC, Hicky, could take on the monster at that high of a level even if we started out with Ak47's of Power +10 basic on wave 1.

It basicly just a number for monster difficulty level, but yeah dude even if we had the best of the best playing at the same time we could not compete with 1.00 monsters.

hehe, hmm...i am glad when thinking about me, the words "screw" comes to mind :o

seriously, however, one can quote all these numbers and comparisons, but i like concrete information to satisy my knowledge. lets say for instance as beast says, the level caluclates in average playing players level in to make a set of level 165 monsters. what does this mean for the monster stats? like, lets say all higher level players have the 500s in damage bonus and damage reduction and health. what then is this monster's stats?

i simply cannot understand then if i am last alive, have no vorpal, yet i am shooting at it with a laser rifle of power 10 and 5 rages (my first experience fighting alone over level 260..i had to face on wave 20 2 vagaries for half an hour with no vorpal) that it is this hell to kill them.

i can cope and understand fine that their health, defense, and attack would increase with levels, but to a degree of protection/health where you can have a very very high powered gun and not make hardly a dent escapes me. this is the only issue i have with this difficulty raise. there is no hope at all without vorpal or ice rune, and it goes beyond the craving for difficulty most of us have wanted to the point it just doesn't feel fun at times, but just frustrating and even boring, not intense and scary-exciting. i'd rather a wave of all hard-hitting laser rifle monsters that are killable than waves of titans to shoot constantly where you won't die due to having iron sturdies and two titan shields one oneself, yet just shoot and shoot and shoot and no progress is made at all. do you understand where i think this new setup is lacking?

and to top it all off...if this is due to us very high level players on, then having us on is a detriment to the gameplay of the server than a plus. so in effect, this will keep new and low low levels from wanting to stick around, but also the regulars who have been playing a long while. though, with you at 184 and von at 220 something, you don't need to really worry since your levels are fine in number and having the good stats, but those of us 240+ are losing the fun aspects, and knowing that the high levellness is being a negative aspect for everyone, i am not feeling good about logging in to play if my presence is just going to make it worse for every single other player.

well anyways, that is all i wanted to say about it :/

bump it up to .55/6-5.00/10.00 bring back old ssr mini/TD XD :hwsb2:
