Jacob AKA "Clone Wars"

Well the other day i was playing i think i played 2 maps and a lil carball but n e ways it seemed like everyone was a Jacob. Well i decided to fix this problem well.. at least for myself

. I have almost downloaded every skin i can find off of skincity and levelsforyou. Hopefully this increases my game experience otherwise I'm gonna be pissed if your all using jacob skins

I tried doing the same thing by downloading everyone's skins but I STILL see a lot of Jakob skins out there. I don't know what the deal is. My only explanation is that people are just using silly clan skins-- Which in my experience has always been just a tiny re-texture of a default skin to sport the clan logo crudely painted on the model's chest via MS Paint or something.

Its really annoying. I hope this forces people to switch to default. I know I did. I kinda like being associated visually instead of being just another Jakob in the crowd.

Everybody is using Jacob skins because the server barfs on custom skins. We're supposed to be using the "OEM" skins, and skin packs.

Most like me are too lazy to go fix up a new character.

I miss the days where servers had the option to turn on skin-downloading. Back in the Quake / Quake 2 days when I would join certain servers I was able to download skins directly into my computer of all the players (I had a pretty decent dial-up connection) ..

Hell, I've seen other servers even store their skinpacks of all the server-regulars on the server itself. Whenever a newb or people join, the skin-packs (with no voicepacks to reduce download time) would download along with all the server mods.

Why don't we do that?

No, you misread me.. because the "laggy, servercrushin, bad coded, sh!t lookin skins" would have to first be approved by the admin BEFORE its allowed to the server I've seen PLENTY of other invasion servers do it with no issues at all.. ..Please re-read through my sentence before you make a fool of yourself, again Amy.
