Map glitching?

Post by Kung_fu_Grip » Sun Feb 03, 2008 3:51 pm

Admins - A definition of map glitching plz.

In oceanic today, there were a number of players translocating out of the map to the roof (with the fish). I thought this was glitching and advised them as such. I was told that it was not glitching as they could still be killed there, and that monsters were able to spawn there.

I thought that being out of the maps caused errors and monsters to spawn in odd locations. but XP-flash and others advised me that this was not the case.

I figured I would post to get a definitive answer, as i know of players (myself included) who would use map glitches in certain scenarios when it helps win the map.

I'll have to get back to you on that.

In my opinion it is glitching, but if the mobs can still kill you when you're on the edge it may not be considered a glitch.
If you lost your cd and have the old drive and have not reinstalled UT2004 or reformatted the drive, you can find your old cd key in the registry here ...

Uh from what I remember what Joey said, glitching is either

a) the monsters can't reach you
b) it doesnt throw the server with errors.
