Going in for oral surgery!

Post by TMoney96 » Wed Mar 21, 2007 3:12 pm

Yeah, tommorow morning I am getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Its gonna be very weird... I used to be a mad pothead and vicodin junkie but quit like 6 and a half months ago. Its gonna be weird having to take vicodin for pain for a few days, hopefully I wont lose control. I've had surgery once and I hate needles so I know I will probobly be anxious so wish me luck!!! :hug: Hopefully by the time I recover the server will be back up and maybe patched ;)

i had my wisdom teeth pulled at 24, a few years ago. it was such a shitty following week with limitied foods, new chewing style temporarily adapted, and the soreness x..x thankfully, no complications came up during the surgery, but one of the stitches a couple days later loosened and i got a dry socket, as it is termed. damn, that hurt so so so bad until that nerve died.

i am not sure how old you are, but if you get it done around or before 20, healing time is less and there are generally fewer complications. i wish you a good surgery and as good a recovery time as possible!

and enjoy your vicodin buzz ;}

Thanks guys, What a coincidence, I am around or before 20 (gonna be 20 in may) and my dad is a dentist so he knows the best oral surgeons around. Just stacked up on jello, pudding, potatoes and cream of wheat heheheh. I'm glad I dont smoke anymore because that is how people usually get dry sockets.

I absolutely HATE dentists. Every single dentist I went to censored up my mouth more than it was when I went to see them :roll:

I've actually had pieces of teeth stuck in my gums after the dentist removed my wisdom teeth. I went back the next day and he said "there's nothing there it's just swollen".

Fast forward 6 days of intense pain and I fall off a 12 foot ladder at work due to infection of the gum due to pieces of my tooth stuck in it.

Went back to the dentist and he accused me of sticking something in my gums to get him into trouble....wtf?

4 years ago I goto the dentist due to a toothache (tooth had a cavatiy and I put it off as long as I could). He drilled and filled and sent me home. 2 days later I was in hospital with a bad infection due to crappy dentistry. The surgeon at the ER pulled out a piece of drill bit and a piece of some white thing.

So I'll never visit a dentist...ever. I don't give a shit if my teeth fall out or I have to hit myself with a baseball bat to knock out a bad/broken tooth (that may even help imporve my looks :D ).

So yea good luck with that shit man.

Exactly what I was thinkinh Shaka...

Even if you couldn't have afforded one on your own, some lawyers might have taken that case on the contingency that they get paid from whatever restitution they get you. That jackass needed to lose his license. (No offense UI! LOL!)

Oh hell yeah dry socket is the most pain I ever felt in my life.... and this said after having two operations three complicated births last one weighed in at 11 pounds 7 oz. countless hours of severe tooth pain walked on burning hot coals, one of my fingers cought in a door jam while the door was being closed almost lost the tip of my finger on that one and fallen on my head out of a moving truck and that dry socket was the worse pain ever, no lie.

but good luck to ya

Lol beast, if you talk about License as in the granting or the card no big deal. But if you say "License is a jackass" thats different.

Yeah there are some shitty dentists just like their are shitty ut players, athletes, students, doctors, anything. Jesus zombie, I would have sued the shit out of that guy, even if it was my dad LOL. Right now the pain isnt that bad except when I eat it bugs me a little. My dad knows I used to be a big vicodin junkie so he wants me to try and stick with darvocet and naproxen. Still got a little buzz, and it seems to be working, but if all else fails I got half a bottle of extra strength generic vicodin :tonqe:
