Not to brag or anything but I don't think I've been in 3rd place unless I joined late in a game, not since I was a low level at least. If i joined wave 1 and finished 3rd place I would kick myself hard  I probobly sound like an asshole bragging but honestly I probobly get 1st place 95% of the time. But anyway, yeah, I guess I can see some good to making the purples/golds less "infinite", it will bring more of a challange.

Wow, so many guns mentioned....but not once did anyone say "Howitzer" ...cmon, i practically ran wave 18-20 with this thing on the map ortega mentioned getting my lady, i choose my Howie over it =P Howie works well in tight spaces but can be just as effective outdoors...dont underestimate it =) (and who else misses the Widow Maker? replace grenade launcher or avril summons with this thing, and i bet people start using it more)

knave, you are abosultely right! the poor howie is forgotten D:
it is a wonderful weapon in small maps, that goes without saying. shooting it into an adject, but unseeable corner will get the baddies before they have a chance to see and shoot for themselves. fully powered with damages, it does nice against wands, and i know that from experience. on larger maps, it is ok, but it does its best work like how i handle the mini rl on large maps. using the extra jumpes and keeping going up and up and up and send a howie bomb rain down, baby!
i would use widow maker on larger maps too as a summon. it would beat anything else but laser rifle, lady, and wand for such areas.

I don't care about score. If you notice every "high" score posted I'm not in game (with the exception of one or two). Not to mention most of them have zero up to 2 good players or high level players on. It's easy to score high when you're playing with low level people and you're high level or second high level.
I rarely use lightning rod because I usually give it away. If someone opens the arty chest I'll ask for a regular triple or double damage just for the hell of it. The last time I used lightning rod I scored 3k points in 2 waves before being crushed by a titan :finga:
My preferred weapon is the laser rifle, followed by combat shotty, followed by lightning gun. With the exception of the combat shotty and mp5, it takes more skill to use the laser and lightning gun than other weapon. They don't have any splash damage, don't ricochete, and their rate of fire makes it hard to truly spam skill monsters.
I'm mostly playing to help the noobs and to have a bit of fun.

Howi can go ither way. Large maps you could take a shotgun or MP5 over it cause of teh obvious reasons. In close quarters the alt fire's mini-clusters that fly out depend heavly onthe area used. If the walls are too close or the celing is too low, yo uget nothing. The power is good, rage sucks on it, accuracy isn't needed... I just toss my Howi to Von and stay wit my MP5 $p
