Your mouse of choice!
Just when I became a newbie into this server I picked up a new mouse to replace my older mouse.. I went from a Logitech MX 610 Laser cordless to an interesting little toy that tickled my computer geekyness and my growing curiousity for gamer-friendly mice-- R2 Mark II Gaming Mouse ..
Reviews for the mouse are here and here .. with pictures including the rather freaky way of holding it.
More often then not I'm curious as to what people think of it. Its grasped between the thumb and middle-finger, and moved with the fingers in general rather than with the wrists, and work best with a plastic mousepad with a 'wax' to rub into it, allowing the ball bearing feet to 'glide' upon it.
Personally IMHO, I think the mouse has several problems-- It won't allow you to press simultaneous buttons, the 'pressure sensitive' buttons hidden in its grip requires too much pressure to press which end up hurting your finer-aim, and I find the lack of friction a bit crappy-- Pressing a button causes your whole mouse to move, destroying any aim you have because it uses ball bearing 'feet' instead of Polytetrafluoroethylene (or other plastics) feet. The frictionless movement will usually destroy any fine aiming you have the moment your finger pushes down upon the button. I'd say its been only FPS friendly.
I'd love to hear feedback from you guys, and what you use.. Any gamer-mice anyone could perhaps recommend to me? :3[/url]

that mouse kind of looks poor to use overall for fps gaming, at least. i'd have to give it a try myself to really make any kind of judegment. and i have no idea the make or model of my mouse since it came from a computer show bin of stuff for a dollar. but it is optical, 2 button, 1 scroll button. works damn good i think, and i have never experiened wrist-hand difficult with it, even after 24 hours nonstop gaming <,,<
very responsive to the quick turns and all such i do in game..like those i do for stealing everyone's queen kill on wave 16 ^,,^

My mouse of choice.... MS Trackball explorer. I love this thing, No more achy wrist or having the mouse slip off the top of the tower/desk :D
I will consistently sacrifice political correctness for an attempt at humor. If ya can't deal, then ya need ta stop being ign'ant.

There are probably some cheap ones around.
I paid 10 bucks for my logitech mouse.
Word of advice, unless you feel lazy and don't feel like holding down the fire button, DO NOT get a wireless mouse unless you are constantly recharging. I found it annoying how my mouse conked out so many damn times so I just copped a wired one...

Don't know about that first one their. Looks kind of difficult to manage in the heat of battle. I am using the Acer optical USB2 mouse that came with my comp. And I must say, it's a piece of shite. It keeps randomly scrolling to the ground while I am shooting, causing major vulnerable periods where I have to try to get my bearings back and find where I am.
I dont need a fancy mouse, I've always used a 3 button with a scroller basic mouse, although now I use a laser one. I have my own style of controls that Is very similar to most of the ut2004 defaults (ie using the arrows to move, ctrl to jump, U to use pups and [] to scroll through them) But I also have some things that are more unique, such as using the keys above the arrows (insert delete page up and down etc) for carball controls, and using the numpad numbers to change weapons (because there close to the arrows so I can move and switch to a weapon very quicky!) I think it would be hard to use a mouse to jump, and I would think you would accidentally hit the buttons a lot (of course if you used to it you probobly wouldnt). If I had extra mouse buttons I would probobly set them to use and toss powerups.
